Hi everybun! Sorry i haven’t been online, just had my three month checkup yesterday (all good) as so have been pretty busy. I did a major furminator job on my husky dog the other day too, and was so sore afterward I just had to take some medicine and lay down…MAN he’s a big job! ^_^

Anywa, I use a program called Picture It! 9 by Microsoft…it was a basic on my computer when I got it about 5 years ago. It does all sorts of neat stuff like shoot out red eye, add test or borders, sharpen or blur images, auto fix levels, the works! ^_^ I do nto have Photoshop, but would like to get it one day.

Beka, I’ll shoot you that email. I hope I can be of help.

And of course, if anyone has images they’d like me to fiddle with in Picture It!, feel free to post. ^_^ I may not be able to get to it right away, but I’ll give it my best shot.

(actually, those auto ajusts and gizmos in Microsoft 9 & 10 are really fun to use – and easier than Photoshop. I often check those first before struggling with PH. Would you believe I JUST found the speaking balloon last night??? I’d been making my own and admiring yours and Markus’. Duh.) (Markus – LOL!!!)

i use photoshop, the newest version, find it easy 2 use.

PhotoShop seems to be the tool of choice, but I am too cheap to get my own copy.  Does anyone use the free alternative, The GIMP?

Hm. I have not heard of GIMP. *nudge* What is it?

I had a friend who swore by the GIMP years ago. He loves it. I could never seem to load it right and start using it, though when I tried it was 2 computers ago and probably too hard for my yucky one to handle.

Go ahead and find it MM if it’s still free.

The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is an open source image editing program.  It is free to download, and free to use.  I have half-heartedly tried it a few times on Linux and it is horribly complex, but I assume PhotoShop is too.  I have not taken the time to learn about layers and palettes and all the other specialzed terminology that these programs use, so it is all a mass of buttons and toolbars to me that makes no sense.

yeah i guess you couldnt just download a copy of photoshop >.< lol

I have to admit, I’m not sharp on palettes and layers and all that. I don’t get that stuff either. Honestly, I can’t go too detailed on my computer, because it simply doesn’t have the RAM necessary for all the lovely things I like to do when using a graphics proggie.
Howevder, I think I’ll give GIMP a shot. It’s free so my wallet doesn’t sustain a mortal wound that way! ^_^

you could get some put in pretty cheap, or buy some of ebay and put it in yourself if your computer literate, its easier than people make out!

He’s just my Cutie. ^_^ The poor dear galloped through the house, jumped up onto the dresser and sailed off the top early this morning on his ‘flying carpet’ and landed on the floor after taking out a stack of litterboxes I had left to dry nearby. Made a heck of a racket, but I was too sleepy to come out and see what kind of damage he did.
This morning I walk out to the kitchen and he’s just sitting on the rug on the floor, looking well pleased with himself. xD Spazz.
