How many of you here use kitty collars on your bunnys? We do when we do free time around the house so we can hear where they are. Otherwise they do not wear the collars.

Here are some photos of their new NIC and playtime last night

Of course I added lots of new toys and moved the cage around a bit too.. they are using the entire thing, from the floor under the shelf all the way to the top

        Shiloh

        taking a better look around

        Both my princesses

Rain and her pretty collar (for those who are interested in knowing) its a size TOY akc collar, 6″ long.. fits them perfectly with lots of room to grow

        run shiloh

that condo looks great! the nice thing about NIC condos is that you can always take them apart and rearrange or make them bigger if you need to. they are both such beautiful bunnies. the pic of the both of them looking down is quite beautiful. it would make a precious avatar picture… it’s amazing, but if you look at the pic, they’re markings are quite similar… just different colors and Shiloh is much fluffier… ;o)

as far as the collar thing, i would not recommend it. if they tried to get it off they could hurt themselves, or if they caught it on something, they could really get hurt. as long as they are supervised and in a well bunny-proofed area, i would not worry about having to know where they are by sound.

Just recently I too noticed how similar they are… they are such great little bunnies!

We do let them loose around the house in the late evenings when our children are in bed but they are so quiet the collars have helped us find them faster. It is bunny proof (The area they are allowed to go) it just gives me the peice of mind knowing i can hear them. They have not fussed with the collars at all and didnt mind them going on or coming off either. We do keep a close eye on them while they are wearing them. We also have a harness Rain has worn when taking her outside, Shiloh is a bit shy still and we havnt done it with her yet.

what an adorable pair. Oh so they have bells on their collars. I used to do that with mine too.

Im not suggesting you use a kitty (or dog) collar for your bunny.. just as a disclosure. There are members who do not feel it is safe, that is just something we do and works well for us. Please do not use me as an example
