Oh yeah, totally unpacked and everything put away. Oh and I won the big lottery on the weekend too, right after being named as the new Mayor here. [end sarcasm]
The move went well overall. Scooter drove here with the bunnies last week and they’re settling in nicely. We’ve been trying to let them all out at once so that they can explore their new house without any territory issues. We’ve had a few scrapes and some fur flying but it’s going pretty well overall.
We’re having an interesting time with the neighbours. We seem to have moved into a really, really friendly neighbourhood. I’m starting to feel like I’ve moved into a tv show. The neighbour on one side brought over a coffee cake when we first took possession of the house. The one on the other side brough over dinner the other night including a bottle of wine. But the norm around here seems to be very… friendly and open. Neighbours letting themselves into each other’s yards, the one with the lasagna let herself into the house when she brought the wine over. It’s a little disconcerting. But still better than the neighbour in Edmonton who, when introducing himself, said “Just to let you know, I like to take long walks late at night – sometimes people think I’m looking in their windows, but I’m not” and winked at us.
There are still boxes all over the house, I’m still trying to figure out where to put everything in the kitchen, but the yard and garden is almost totally done! Put in a new veggie garden area in the back (around 8 x 25′), planted some new plants, and 3 fruit trees (2 apple and a cherry) so the yard is doing pretty good
