1. I use vinegar & water for all my cleaning of rabbits & baking soda when I need the scour power. I usually buy the costco size bottle of vinegar & baking soda—super cheap!
2. I love giving the buns my veggie scraps, including the pieces that human folk don’t find so tasty. At work or even parties, I ask for the “garnish” veggies from food trays (humans don’t usually eat raw kale, huge lettuce leaves or fancy cut veggies that are used for decoration). People are super accommodating w/ these requests.
3. I buy most of my produce directly from my weekly farmer’s market. Most of the farmer’s give me their veggie scraps or less than fresh veggies. When I can’t get to the farmer’s market or need something I don’t find their I buy from an area produce shop….they sell in bulk (I can get bags of veggies for less than $10)!!!!
4. I also use a blend of litterbox filler (carefresh, newspaper, & bird wood pellets). This allows me to use my preferred (and their’s) carefresh longer.
5. I too LOVE the dollar store & Big Lots!!! Rag rugs, bins, etc.
6. I try to purchase my Binky stuff at the same time (i.e. a few toys, treats & hay) rather than breaking it up into more regular shipments.
7. I have a black thumb, but I’ve been trying to grow some tasty herbs & flowers for the rabbits. I’ve been doing really good w/ basil, cilantro, parsley, marigolds, & lavendar.
