  Well, I’ve wanted a bunny since as long as I can remember!
  
  Back when I was probably around 7 years old, I went to the Santa at the mall and “naturally” asked for a “real live bunny.” Santa CRUSHED my dreams of having a bunny (probably good because I probably wouldn’t have treated it too well when I was young) by saying that he couldn’t make a real bunny in his workshop! It just crushed me when I was younger.
  
  Well, now that I’m in college and can afford/keep a rabbit in my apartment, I am definitely looking into having one as a pet.
  
  I’ve read constantly about what I need for a new rabbit…and I’ve looked at petfinder.com and local rescue shelters for one. I am definitely getting one very soon.
  
  I visited a local shelter and found one that I am just in love with.
  
  He’s just too cute in real life and can’t wait to adopt him or another rabbit…depending on if I can get him before anyone else does!

  Aw what a cutie! You’ve come to the right place… these people are so knowledgable and they’ve become my bunny gurus if you will. Ha. Have fun with your new friend, they’re just so much fun.

  Welcome!! Congrats on deciding to adopt! Baby bunnies are just the cutest but adopting is wonderful! Plus you usually don’t have to do the spay/neuter thing (expensive and worriesome) and they are usually somewhat litter trained (yippee!) AND I find they really appreciate you more! Good luck adopting and if you have any questions, don’t think they are silly-just ask!!

  you get DOUBLE KUDOS for 1) gathering info before getting a bun and 2) ADOPTING!!! i can’t wait to hear how everything goes.
  
  have you seen the House Rabbit Society in your research? they have excellent articles—> rabbit.org
  
  and of course check out the bunny info and threads on this site!
