lol ok. Well I mention Cotton when I have him outside on his grooming table he will jump up to be carried and held. That only happens outside most of the time. In the house he really doesnt’ like to be held or picked up. He grunts at me sometimes when I go to scoop him off his spot to get him to go to bed in his cage. Other times he jumps up on me. Those are the only times he does that.
I was reading someones post about when will my bunny like me. I don’t want anyone getting the wrong idea that Cotton loves to be held at home. I go to him and pet him for a little bit several times in the evening. He sometimes comes to me to pet him which can last 45 minutes .Cool huh? But he seldom sits still for that long to be petted. He will come to dig on me a lot tho.
I wish I could hold him a lot in the house but he gets restless and bobs his head a lot so I know he wants down. He feels more secure in public places being held by me tho but not in the house. He is an exceptional bun I really love that guy.
I hold the girls cause they are young and I would like them to be used to it. Once they get 4 months old that may change, as it did with Cotton at about 4 months. They may start to not like being held.
I do love to watch them at what they do. With Cotton I would go frequently in the x pen and lie or sit and read and let him explore me. For quit a long time like a month or so. That really helped gain his trust. The girls I am doing that with now regardless of the fact that I seem to have their trust. For me this is what works to gain their trust. Besides it is a lot of fun to be able to do this. But remember all buns are different.
And what works for me may not work for everyone. So for those who think I can hold cotton at home and pet him all day nope doesnt’ happen.
HE likes to sleep in his cardboard box and willow tunnel. So I let him be. HE comes out in the evenings and we have Cotton time. I go bother the girls at about 1-5 that is their turn. Well it helps that I dont’ work so…. thats how this happens.
