I was reading my cooking magazine today, and saw a recommendation for perking up “limp” parsley or cilantro.  It recommended making a bowl of ice water, and then putting the herbs into the bowl and swirl to wash them, and to perk them up.  I thought this would be a great idea to give to bunnies on hot days, even if the herbs aren’t limp, it would get them nice and cold!  When you swirl the veg in the water, any dirt or debris should also drop to the bottom of the bowl, so when you lift the parsley out it will be nice and clean too!

i’ve found rinsing limp kale under cold tap water reconstitutes it fairly well… i’ll have to try an ice water bath next time instead for that extra oomph!
