She keeps going upstairs we don’t have a baby gate YET  but we let her out of her cage and she  makes a bee line for two things  One this new chair we got like amonth ago  she likes to hide under there sometimes she leaves us presents.  THe other thing she likes to do is run through the other room to get upstairs.  We go upstairs get her in her carrier and bring  her downstairs.  Then we let her out and off she goes again.   We understand tht she is a bunny but she can’t be unsupervised upstairs . This has been going on for about 2 weeks (the stairs anyway )  We don’t have any meetings tomorrow so off we go to get a baby gate .  Needless to say its been a long couple weeks

ITS WORSE THEN HAVING A KID  I assume since we don’t have any kids.

yep kids. pets are easier tho you dont’ have to bring the kids and kid luggage with you everytime you leave the house or your vehicle.  pets are otherwise like kids.

my vicky will get OBSESSED with something new every couple of months. For a LONG few months she was absolutely BERSERK about getting under the kitchen sink. She could crawl under there and we didn’t want her there cuz the garbage disposal cord was back there and she could bite it like she does with every other cable she can get her teeth on. It was a bitter struggle to get her to stop, we would pile tons of things in front of the sink to stop her but then she would spend ALL NIGHT LONG digging, biting, and destroying anything in her way. Eventually I got wood and made a permanent barrier that she was unable to move/destroy and she has since then forgotten about her quest…God she was crazy about going under there…

i was thinking having rabbits was a little like having kids just yesterday as i was chasing pinky down the hall trying to retrieve an envelope for a b-day card i hadn’t signed yet from her mouth   lol.  i dont’ have kids either but lots of my friends do & i hear the stories!  the funny things is that i shooed her away from that card a couple of times meaning to move the card (it was across the room from me while i was working) and she would not leave it alone.  these buns sure do have good work ethic once they pick their ‘job’ don’t they?

They are pretty obsessive little things.  Curly Sue is fanatical about getting under the sofa.  It is usually blocked off, but if I forget to block it off, she is immediately in the corner digging at the wood that blocks the underneath part.  Deanna is obcessed with a small pillow on the sofa.  She just won’t leave it alone, she hops up there and digs and bites it.  I put her down, she’s back up in 30 seconds.  I have to block off the entire sofa now to keep the two of them away.  DJ does not seem to have these traits, I wonder if this is part of the whole female rabbit territorial thing.  What DJ can’t handle is when another rabbit is in the house.  If I smell like another rabbit, the girls will maybe growl at me, but DJ bites, HARD!  Made me bleed once.

just go to your local hardware store and buy a cheap bit of wood for a couple of quid and put that there, thats what i used until i got NIC cubes, its cheap and lasts!
