I am not sure what it is lately but she loves her carrier  the one we use to take her to the vet. We have used it a couple times to bring her up to our bedroom but she keeps going in it and out of it and in it  and out of it  etc .   She sniffs all around it hops in it “burrows ” a little and then hops out of it. ( get the picture LOL )  I don’t think its anything to be worried about but it is a little strange.

oh and we put some tiles in her cage for the summer I think she likes them too. I hope its helping monday it will be close to 100 here .  Hubby is able to come home on lunch to check on her and we have a/c in our bedroom.  I thought it would be wise to set the a/c to 70 keep the bedroom door closed and move her cage up there for the mini heat wave we are about to have.  Not sure though  hubby is afraid it would be too cool.

70 should be comfortable as long as it’s not blowing right on her. do you have a ceiling fan you could switch on to circulate the air a bit?

where shadow usually stays  we can keep it very dark and cool with a fan ( oohhh that shadow she is trouble today )   and a fan that blows around her and we check her ears  they are sually nice and cool.  THere is the kitchen with an overhead fan that might help.  I just think the bedroom with the a/c would be good for her.  she could stay over by the dressers and it wouldn’t be right on her.  Before she was our family bunny she was a classroom bunny with centeral air so I worry.  Even though I am not the one tottally attached to her my husband is i still love her.  My husband is lucky enough to work 15 mins away from home  me i work 30 mins away from home.

Oh gosh she just jumped on to the carrier and it collapsed on her she has this ” what I wasn’t doing anything wrong ” look on her face

Actually, getting them used to the carrier is an excellent thing!

I leave the carrier open in the dining room at all times. Dancer and Velvet hop in and out of it, too. Dancer loves to be in there. I have a pillow in there and he digs around in it. So funny! When I need to take them to the vet, they are not afraid of being in the carrier. I always leave that pillow in there so they know it’s ok to be in there and there is nothing bad that will happen to them. The carrier gets connected with positive things here. They either get to be outside on the lawn when I carry them out there in the carrier or they get to be with very loving people at the House Rabbit Society.

As far as the AC is concerned, yes, the bedroom will work just fine. It’s great that your husband can go check on your bunny (and also to make sure the air conditioner is still working properly throughout the day). What a lucky rabbit girl!

Odd, I have recently noticed that a little ‘cloth’ carrier I got to begin getting Mimzy used to going in and out of his pen to the xpen has now become his favorite hang out spot when I put in the xpen. (Since Pippi has been chasing him out of the willow tent.) It can’t be used for carrying them anymore because the zipper closure broke off of it, but it makes a dandy hidey spot. ^_^

*ISH*…hot weather… ;P We don’t get much up here where we are, but when those thunderstorms roll in it gets so muggy I want to drop myself in the river (even though it’s fed by glacial ice and colder than deep space). I go through freeze bottles for the buns like stink. I don’t even bother basing it by thermometer anymore, when I see those bunnies all stretched out to the point that they look like skin rugs I put one in their lay down spot and replace it every so often as it begins to thaw.
We have small fans for circulation, but those seem to annoy my buns rather than help cool them.

It’s a good thing  shadow likes that carrier.  Tonight alone she climbed the stairs  not once but three times.  The first time she stopped at the middle  then the last two times she got all the way up to the top before we could stop her.  She looked oh so proud  standing at the top of the stairs.  Into the carrier she would go and we would zip her up and bring her back downstairs.  Hubby would let her out we would go back to our converstation and off she would go.  SHe got me so distracted I paid the whole cell phone bill instead of just min balance.  lol oops  all well   Darn shadow!   She is turning one  soon.  HMMMM or maybe she already has.  Not sure exactly how old she is  “terrible two or terrible teenager “  just kidding   SHe loves her daddy though   I am feeling a little jealous.  How can I compete with baseball and  shadow  just not going to happen.
