My house has wood floors and I’ve seen the 5 bunnies in some pretty funny situations as they’ve learned to adjust to and deal with the footing. They all know how to go ‘flatfooted’ and slow and get around the areas where there are no rugs pretty handily and they can move fast when they’re concentrating.
Last night I had the two couples out for play time in their respective parts of the house, but one of the cats must have opened the door because Pringles (female diva #1) managed to slip into the living room where Lola (female diva #2) was hanging out.
I heard this terrible scrabbling, scraping and thumping going on and just knew it was the fight of the century and ran to break it up. The rabbits were facing each other about 4 feet apart, running ‘toward’ each other as fast as they could, but because of the floor, no one was moving! They both had the strangest look on their faces, I guess in the heat of “I’ll-Show-Her!” they both forgot how to run on the slick floor.
I was able just to walk up to Pringles as she ran furiously and scoop her up inspite of how hard I was laughing. After I put her back in her condo I got major bunny butt all night long, but boy, those 2 girls slept like logs from the exercise.
