Just curious—is it bad if Boston is sneezing? just noticed the other night that she sneezed a few times in a row.

i am wondering because when we took her to the vet for the head tilt, he asked if she was sneezing but at that point she hadn’t been.

I think sneezsing can be a sign of URI (Upper Respiratory Infection) or allergies, but I also think bunnies just sneeze sometimes.  Our rex, Curly Sue is a big sneezer.  Our dwarf Deanna also sneezes after burying her head in the hay basket.  I think the frequency and other symptoms like runny nose and eyes are indications that something else may be going on.

As Osprey said, I would keep an eye on him just to see whether it is just occasional sneezing or recurring. Also I would pay attention to other symptoms.

If she continues you might want to call the vet, since he asked. Ask what is the relationship between sneezing and head tilt, and what, if anything, to watch for.

              Gesundheit, Boston.

Maryann loves sneezin. It is almost a sport with her sometimes. Unless there’s discharge from the nose or eyes, it should be fine.

Also, try and notice when she sneezes. Did she just finish grooming, eating or drinking, or does it seem to be just out of the blue. For some reason, Rucy, sneezes more when she grooms, I think she just gets hairs stuck in her nose.

Winston loves to dig & bury his head in his hay basket – no matter how much it makes him sneeze!

Then again – maybe like Maryann – he likes to sneeze & digs to provoke it. 😉
