I think I’ve seen that vid, Markus, and I hate it. It’s the one with the woman singing and the bunny can’t stand it, right? (Dumb broad!) At least, I HOPE that’s the only one of it’s kind and I won’t look at it, I think it’s cruel. Reminds me of that horrible story that was a big movie when I was young, “When Rabbit Screams”-which was about a girl who was abused by her father for years. (Apparently the title refers to him killing her pet rabbit to scare/punish her and the poor thing screaming.) YUCK!
Anyway K&D, I am so sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with the lead. (looks at the two she’s bought for her buns that she’s never used) I am actually just too chicken in general to put harnesses on my buns…I’ve tried them on my cats and they are a disaster! My cats are not outdoor, except for our feral one, and she walks right down the road with you and hisses and growls warnings at dogs and other cats…she’s quite capable of following us without assistance.
I would love to ‘walk’ my bunnies, but I think I’m going to have enough fun with the big tent we bought to take them outside in. That way, we avoid other animals, poor weather, mozzies and the worry that they will dart off/dig out and get lost. No matter how they go outdoors, they will be supervised. I just can’t bear the thought of anything happening to them.
Big hugs for you, dear! (((((((((((K&D)))))))))))) I’m sure we’ve all done something we regret when it comes to bunny care, but you know…they are the most forgiving little creatures I have ever come across. I am sure Hopscotch knows it was an accident and he has forgiven you. Just give lots of extra cuddles and noserubs, he’ll be fine.
Lolz…that he ‘told on you’ to Dax! ^_^ I can just see that. Conspiratorial bunny whispers. 0.o Boy are we ALL in trouble!
Which reminds me…does anyone here think that perhaps bunnies DO communicate in some soundless way, even if they can’t see each other? My two are in their pens stacked one above the other and cannot see each other unless they are in the xpen. But sometimes I think one of them tells the other one what is happening to him: like a quiet cuddle or a treat that made no noise. And Pip (who is in the ‘top bunk’) tends to do more thumping than Mimzy down below, and I think she realizes she can make a bigger noise than he can since she isn’t perched on anything more solid than the bars of Mimzy’s roof and some cardboard as a buffer. She seems to be the ‘lookout bun’ of the two.
I just keep thinking of those cute Homeward Bound movies; where the animals communicate to one another but the people don’t hear it of course. I already know my cats can tell one another things from across the room, I just wonder if bunnies do that too?
