well hubby rescued a dove a young one it had gotten attacked by a cat or coon or something. I still had those drops for eye inf. from the vets office and we been doctoring it up. and now finally it’s eye opened 1 eye was ok but the other was swolen and stuck shut.  the other nite hubby wetted a cotton (no not my bun a real cotton) and stuck it to his closed eye. he looked hilarious I should have taken a pic. then the next nite it fell off and the blood was off too. then just yesterday his eye opened. then at nite it shut again so we put more drops on it. and it has been getting force fed. when it gets hungry twice a day it scratches around in the box. It looked icky that bird he looks better now. when he seems strong enuf and healed up he will get turned loose.

cotton hears it scratchign about and runs over here to try to see. I don’t want him too close to it tho and we wash our hands b4 and after handling it. I don’t touch it tho eeeek. it is wiggling around in it’s box right now I can see the box moving ahaha.a

well cotton is demanding  his morning pets. I gotta go Cotton gave the order come pet me. hehehe.

Do you have a bird rescue that will take him too? That might be a good idea and they can ensure he is healthy and release him when ready. I love doves.

Yes you really should take that little guy to a rescue.  We have a Wildlife Center here that does a lot of bird rehabilitation.  Good for you for trying to help.  Babies I think need to be feed every couple hours and a very specific formula.
