I actually just took Boomer in the shower with me this time. . . That’s how I give Peppers his baths all the time. Usually I just give Boomer a shallow tin of water to play in.

Yep, I made the thing that Peppers is on and if you look in the first pic of Peppers, I made the hanging atom thingy too. . . Boomer loves that one. . . it is what he was on when I took the pics.

Very pretty birdies. Boomer looks very punk rock with his spiky do. You should teach them to say their address if they ever get lost. I read that somewhere yesterday. A parrot escaped and the police found him, but he wouldn’t talk to them, so they took it to a vet and he told the vet his name and address and then was able to be returned to his owner.

I actually think I am just going to try to teach them my full name and maybe my cell number. . . my address won’t always be the same so I would be worried that they would get lost and then repeat their old address which wouldn’t do much good. . . They are also being microchipped just like the cats and bunnies.

Wow! so gorgeous, especially Boomer – that bright yellow and red/orange – amazing. What are their personalities like?

LOL!!! The bunnies are more of an issue for me on the cleaning thing then the birds are actually. Neither of them are flighted so their mess is pretty much contained to their cages and play areas. . . . the bunnies on the other hand have free run of the house to make their messes in. . . I actually use puppy pads both for the cages and for the play areas so it makes it really easy to clean up. . . just throw out the pads and replace them. Other then that, there is usually a little bit of food around the cages that gets vacuumed up. . . .

Peppers is my cuddle buddy.  His favorite place is my shoulder and his favorite thing is me scratching his neck. . . . He is pretty bonded to me as he thinks that I am his mate but he does really well with females in general. He is not so sure about males though. . . when it comes to birds, he is about as laid back as they come and he is VERY quiet. In general, he is a very gentle bird but if you really make him mad, he will definately let you know. . .

Boomer is the exact opposite. . . right now he won’t even think about letting me pet him. He is very good about not biting when he is on someone’s hand but I don’t think his previous owners spent any time with him and I don’t think he understands that hands are good for things other then just putting him back in his cage (it’s kind of sad actually). . . He’s like Lilly, it’s just going to take longer to gain his trust. He is a little clown though and I love watching him play. . . . he loves hanging around upside down in his cage. . . Matt calls him our little bat. He thinks he is a big tough bird, doesn’t realize he’s only 3 oz. He is very territorial and sort of agressive but we’re working on it. Oh yeah, and he is LOUD! lol, he doesn’t scream much, but when he does it is ear shattering.
