This is the house that I want to build for the bunnies.  Does anyone know if this is held together with wire ties?  Won’t the buns chew through the plastic?

Many of us have built these for our bunns! Use cable or zip ties to reinforce them. Sometimes the bunns will chew on them, but if you secure them nice and tight, it will take a while for them to chew through just one. And when they do, just replace it – it’s not like they will chew through every one overnight and the cage will collapse.

Also, look under Bunny Info and click on Cool Habitats – you’ll find all kinds of cool NIC condos there!

Have fun, NIC condos are great and your bunnies will LOVE it!

Three boys (all brothers)  currently caged in seperate cages stacked like bunk beds in my livingroom which doesn’t allow for much space.  I have a corner where a cage like that would fit perfectly since height is not a problem but length is.   This is what I intend on doing (provided everyone gets along after they are netured; where there is opening to get from floor to floor there will be a door that will open and close (closed at night and opened during the day.  This way when I am at home they can come and go as they please. On that door there will be wood with dowel rods where they use it as a ramp the rods  are in place so they do not slip.  Then at night when the door is closed they can chew the rods till there heart is content.   There will also be a door so I can access the buns from the outside.  At this time it is an idea not sure if it will work.  As for the floor I am going to make the base like a box and set a peice of wood the size of the cage then attach wheels to it.  This way the base is more sturdy and I can run the vaccum where needed.    If anyone has any suggestion or do’s and don’ts it would be greatly apperciated.

That cage is high and I keep re-living my christmas tree one that was higher and keep falling over and over again

I have one bunny that is a make shift cage that is actually a cage for a small dog.  He is in cardboard heaven the way I have it set up

The cage is finally is done.  I had it done in about 14 hours.  Everyone has been living in it since Saturday.  Mum bunny does not like it as much.  I put her old cage up and her litter pan (which is a 9X13 baking dish.

Everyone has their own floor, own door etc.The cage is 56 inches long, 28 inches wide and 56 inches tall.  The three boys are scheduled to be neutured on July 2nd.  I am trying to get everyone play time for one hour a day I can not have mum and bay together becasue the boys try to huimp her and it just puts to much stress on her. .    I am going to the local carpet store obtain some scrap carpeting to put in hte cage.  Currently the floor is to slippy.  Provided eveyone gets along I will be redoing the cage so they can play .

Does anyone know how to post a picture in the post.  The lionk below is a picture of the age

the way i do the pictures is i right-click on the full image, go to properties.  copy the address and paste it into the image box on here.

maybe someone knows an easier way…?  or is better at explaining tech stuff than i am…?

                    regardless… here is the cage…

You did a good job!  That’s a pretty clever solution for the multiple drama/trauma.  I believe you said that once the boys have been neutered they will be housed together as long as they can/are still bonded?  If so you can use the same cage w/ a few adjustments so that everyone has access to the multiple levels.  I also want to add….bless you for keeping/caring for all those bunnies!!!!!
