I got sick from heat today. Feeling dizzy and exhausted. I haven’t been able to eat either. At least I dont have a fur coat on like the buns.

My best friend used to wet big terrycloth towels, put them in the freezer long enough to get semi-solid, then wrap them around her head to keep the heat out.
This was why we came up to Alaska. My hubby can’t stand the heat (and most of the people) in California so we hid up here. ^_^ I do miss the fog though. A hot day was usually saved by the fog.

I went outdoors with my son for awhile today and still had to have sweats, a warm jacket and a hat on because the wind is blowing so fiercely it’s about taking the roof off! 0.o; We are a balmy 60 degrees up here. (ducks thrown objects) Hey! Not my fault! 0.0

Oh God I can sympathise with you Girls … the heat knocks me around .. thank goodness it is cooling here in Perth.  We had some very high temps in Perth over the summer months.

Do you have a ceiling fan … I used to lie on my bed at night in my old place with the fan on and use a squirty bottle (on you this time, not the bunnies lol) to spray up in the air … the cool air was great.  I have evaporative air conditioning now but in our humid weather it is hopeless.

Our temps are around 76 at the moment but in our heat it reaches 110+ for days on end.  Even now I get hot, particularly in the office,  Going through menopause does not help.

I so much prefer the cooler months … stuff that heat!

Me too big time!  I hate this heat!  Edson is just sprawled all over but seems to really like the fan.   At least we don’t have humidity!  Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter and then it’s suppposed to cool down.

It was close to 100 today here in the South Bay.  This is very unusual, particularly for May.  Luckily, the house has not gotten above 80 so far, so the buns are fine.

It only sucks because I sooooo want to go tanning out in the beach. I live both in Monterey and Palo Alto. It was so pretty in Monterey today. Makes me want to drop everything and go to the beach.

I can’t imagine going to the beach when its so hot like that in the heat of the day … Most Aussies are so conscious of the sun here … skin cancer and melanoma … NO Thanks!  Nice too have a tan but not worth it.

Last year a young lad, 17, died of melanoma and just recently this year a 39 year old guy died … the melanoma was on his ankle and over a few years spread to his organs.  He was an advocate on TV ads, also going to the schools getting  his message across about the sun.

Its a lesson to learn and remember.

yeah i get my tan from a bottle these days.   weather up here is finally seasonable, which is possible just warm enough to start planting annuals… i think we’re past the frost threat now.  it’s the may 2-4 weekend here (queen victoria’s b-day holiday) and usually they say it’s safe to plant by now.  won’t be for another month or so when we get weather like you’re experiencing in ca right now… but we do get that hot too & so i can sympathize!  loove the wet towel in the freezer idea… brilliant!  will def try that out this year when i`m yearning for air conditioning.

I like the heat so long as I don’t have to do anything in it. If I have to cook/clean or anything like that, in the heat, I get super grumpy. I call it ‘heat grumpy” LOL But I love lounging around in the sun. I shouuld smarten up about tanning, I wear screen, but not every day or anything. I will in Cuba I promise

I have lived in both Arizona & Texas.

At least in the dry Arizona heat – I can still function. But, in the super humid heat – I am a lost cause. It’s even hard to manage a fan and a squirty bottle.

You have my sympathies!

I laughed my butt off when I saw the title! LOL This as I am sipping a noce cold bevarage with my heinee planted in front of an air conditioner! Amen sister! *clink*

gah i hate the hot weather too, give me winter anyday!

I second that Kimberlyanddarren!! Autumn is the best time for me; it’s cool but not TOO cool.

You guys are all crazy!!!! =) And i mean that in the nicest way possible!!!! I live in southwestern minnesota—the crappiest winters anywhere! If its not snowing….Its BLOWING!!! Worst winds ever…..cold winds versus nice warm wonderful sun…..ahhhhhh….i’ll take the sun thank you!!!!! Haha!!!

doesnt really matter here, rain and wind no matter the time of year but hot day v cold day, cold day wins! at least when u are cold u can put more clothes on, cant take ur skin off haha
