  I got him/her from a man whos bunny had babies because he thought
  
  they were both male. oops. Turned out one of them is a female. So she
  
  had 5 bunnies and I brought one of the 3 month olds home with me today.
  
  He said they are still too young to find out of they are male or female.
  
  I am putting him/her in seperate area from Floppy until I get the baby looked
  
  at and fixed. Should I be able to tell what sex he/she is? I have yet to give
  
  him/her a name because I am still thinking about it and also not knowing the
  
  sex doesn’t help. I will wait until he/she is fixed and healed and then try the
  
  whole bonding process…let the games begin…again! What I do know is
  
  he/she is a lionhead mix. Didn’t see any male parts, so thinking it’s a she
  
  for now. Thinking about the name Toki for now since it sounds unisex.

  Oh you lucky bun mum! *mouth drops open* That is the coolest looking bun! I’ve never seen a lionhead cross with black and white coloring before!
  WAAAHHH! I want one! *sniffles* How many were in the litter total? (not that I could even have one, but I’m just curious)
  Toki sounds like a fine name! There should be a link around here somewhere for sexing bunnies….I used to have it, now I lost it.

  Floppy, that is a beautiful rabbit! The Rabbit Haven will be at For Other Living Things this Saturday, May 10. If you bring the baby to the show, we’d be happy to try to sex it for you.

  VERY CUTE BUN! I ALSO HAVE 2 BLACK AND WHITE LIONHEAD BUNS. THEY ARE 9 WEEKS OLD AND I WAS TOLD THEY WERE GIRLS BUT IM GOING TO THE VET NEXT WEEK TO GET A SECOUND OPINION. I THINK YOUR BUN IS OLD ENOUGH THAT A RABBIT SAVVY VET COULD DEFINATLY TELL. TOKI SOUNDS VERY CUTE BY THE WAY

  broken black lionheads are so pretty. Laith was one and yours reminds me of Laith he had his moustache by his nose too. lol. gosh adorable.

  at 12 weeks you might be able to tell the sex, but it’s always a good idea to have a vet check the bun out, and of course get info on altering. s/he’s adorable!!! i love the big poof around the top!

  You can try sexing yourself, it’s a bit difficult but it’d be fun (to me anyways) to sex and then have it confirmed/disproved when the vet does it You lightly lightly press just above the genitals and the penis should pop out if he has one. Also basically it’s a circle opening (like a cheerio) for a boy and a slit for a girl. Girls will pop up a bit though when pressed so that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a boy. Basically it’s carefully seeing if it’s a cheerio shape or a slit.

  Okay…so the story begins like this…
  I was looking on craigslist for kicks and saw this ad for re-homing of lionheads
  but all it said was email for further info, so I did just to see what was going on.
  I asked for pictures and the lady said something like there are pictures at Andys
  Petshop. Andy’s is now a re-homing center and Saveabunny.org uses the lil critter
  space they made for the bunnies that needed homes, so I asked if she was associated
  with Saveabunny, since I was confused if they bunnies were there or not. TURNS OUT
  the bunnies were not fixed and that is why Andys couldnt take them however the
  owner is someone who visits Andys a lot and has bought lots of supplies and pets
  over the years ( before it was a re-homing center.) So I call him up and he says I
  could come to his house and see the bunnies. I get there, go inside and its a nice
  home…walk into the kitchen and there is a large fish tank holding 5 baby buns and
  on top of that he was feeding them really cheap “gourmet” food. I felt bad for the buns
  and so I took one home, and thats Toki. He even asked me what kind of food I feed
  Floppy, I said well I feed him Oxbow pellets (I didnt want to get into all the details.)
  and he went on to tell me how great the umm “gourmet” food is.
  What was suppose to be the pantry, held um…3 rabbits, a snake, and some rats.
  supposedly the people at Andys know him really well and said the rats are not to be
  feeder rats. The buns, one he got from someone and didnt know was a female (toki’s
  mom) and the other two are purebreed Lionheads. He also told me how he was planning
  to breed the girl lionhead cause her mom or her won some shows…I was like …great….
  anyway, I took Toki home with me and now he/she…I’ll try to see if I see a cheerio
  (I really think it’s a she) has a good home!

  My bf bought Toki this huge 2 level cage that was sale at Pet food express!!!
  It was 75% off! It was 109.00 and it went down to 27.00 It’s the bestest deal I have
  ever seen for a cage, usually small hamster cages go for that much or even more!
  So excited. He is happy …happier than being in that fish tank thing he was stuck in
  with his siblings. Toki is doing binkies and being his hoppity self, although we still
  have lots of bonding to do. Some new pictures from yesterday:

  ok just kidding I think Toki is a girl now. LOL
  Here is a picture, I am not sure if you can tell, but I was told she/he
  is about 2-3 months old, I am thinking she(?) is closer to 3 months
  old. I included a picture if anyone wants to chime in. Thinking about
  going to FOLT’s tomorrow and seeing if one of the bunny expert
  volunteers can help me figure it out. OH and thanks for the link btw!!!
