i would try and make the vet appt for within the next two weeks.  you’d want to separate them at about 12 weeks if they are the opposite sex.  they can reproduce at about 12-16 weeks.  if you go to a rabbit savvy vet, he or she should be able to definitively tell the sex by now.  different vets will alter at different ages.  i think the youngest a female can be spayed is about 4 months, but they will often wait until 6 months so the bun is a bit bigger.  i would suggest you take them both to be altered at the same time.  if the vet says they will alter at 6 months, that gives you a little less than 4 months to prepare.  find out the cost.  if the two surgeries are going to be 600 dollars (an estimate) you might want to save 150 a month so it’s not a huge drain on your finances when the time comes (or squirrel away some of your tax refund…)

bunny urine can range in color… yellow, brown, orange or redish.  if it is white and thick or has red swirls in it, this is not good.

Hey!! Bunnies urine can be any color from clear to a pretty dark orange or even red. Has to do with what they are eating. You want to be careful that’s there are now white crystals or chunks-that could indicate bladder sludge caused by too much calcium in their food. But there is definitely a wide range of color in their urine and from what I’ve read-nothing to be alarmed about!

I’m not sure about sexing and age. I know when they are younger it’s harder but a vet should be able to pretty acurately sex them. As for age of spaying I *THINK* three-to five months depending on what your vet says. You could probably ask when you phone to book the physical, as to when she’d/he’d be most comfortable sexing them.
