Here are two bunnies my hubby and I rescued tonight!  They were abandoned in a townhouse complex.  Right now they are snuggling in the xpen in our living room surrounded by water, pellets, hay and a huge plate of fresh greens!  Tomorrow we will be taking them to the Toronto Humane Society where they will get health checked, spayed/neutered and put up for adoption.  We named them Pepper and Cinnamon!

They are adorable! They look healthy – do you think they were just recently dumped? You are wonderful to take them in.

They have been at the Toronto Humane Society for a week now and are scheduled for a spay and a neuter very soon. They have remained bonded but are a little skiddish still.

We had them in an xpen for one night before we took them down and they hid in the carrier the whole time! They were very scared little bunnies. When we took them in and they were set up in their new pen at the shelter, it was like they could smell all the other bunnies in the room with them and they really perked up! It was so sweet – all of a sudden they were all inquisitive, periscoping and sniffing the air, hopping around their new digs and flopping out side by side. It made me happy to see how relaxed they were.

I’m sure they are getting used to plenty of food (“Hey look! A bowl full of food! And watch….when I eat it all, it magically fills up the next day!”), tons of yummy hay, greens and bunny cuddlers to help with their social skills. I hope they do well and get adopted soon!

                                  Hi All,

Here is an update on Pepper and Cinnamon…

They were taken to the Toronto Humane Society where shorty after, Cinnamon gave birth to 3 babies, but only one survived – little Chup Chup. She was separated from Pepper while she nursed Chup Chup and once she was done, she was spayed, Pepper was neutered, and they were happily reunited! Chup Chup was placed up for adoption and found a forever home shortly after.

Well, this past weekend, Pepper and Cinnamon also found their forever home! They were adopted by a loving couple who plan to have them be free range in their home. So three cheers for three bunnies who will all begin new lives happy, safe and loved!

                                  Hop Hop Hooray!
