I buns dont like the water bottle. They’ll deal with it but they drink more water out of bowl. The problem with it is that the water gets dirty easily and I have to refill it multiple times a day. I found this online and was wondering if anyone has used them before.

This one can be both feer and waterer

It’s for birds but these are the only ones that will fit through the square of the cubes.    I cant use the dog/cat waterers because it wont fit and cant be hung on the cubes,

Recently I have been paranoid about Floppys feet, although they are perfectly fine…

I’ve been paranoid about him getting sore hocks, so yesterday actually I bought him a hook

on dish that i can use for his greens, since normally I just put them on the bottom of the cage.

I usually wipe up the access water, but just the thought of the water making his feet damp

made me kinda weary. ANYWAY point being, maybe a clamp on dish for the water will help it

from getting dirty? I bought the hook-on one…theres also a clamp on one..heres the link.

It’s avaliable at For Other Living Things. I also bought him this synthetic sheep skin liner

          for his cage…spoiled!!!

I don’t think the cup part is large enough for bunny to put his/her face in to drink water.

I understand about filling the bowls multiple times a day but it’s worth it if they will drink from a bowl – it is a huge hassle though, I agree.

I agree I don’t think those would work.  I am too worried about wet feet (from too much pee) so I make sure there’s a layer of hay in the litter box.  I’m sure that’s why I go thru so much hay too!

These are the crocks that I like – you want a larger size though – bigger is better.  The smallest size is way too small – better for a guinea pig or something.

I don’t think those are appropriate for a bun. I have a large heavy crock that my buns drink from. I do have a automatic water dispenser that I leave in their pen for when I go away for the weekends. It refills itself when the water gets to a certain level. That works for me. Otherwise I use the crock and refill it twice a day. If you’re interested in the water dispenser thingy, Walmart sells them cheap or you can find them in your local pet store.

i dont think they will work because bun wont get their head down enough 2 get the water out, a crock bowl should be fine

Bunnies4ever, what kind of automatic water dispenser do you use?

I found it on PetSmart website, but I couldn’t copy and paste a picture of it here. It’s called “Petmate LeBistro Waterer and it’s $21.99. Walmart sells it cheaper.

I dont want to put it INSIDE the cage because it’ll take up space. Is there a way to hang it against the cubes?

Not sure if this would help, but what we use is a Lixit water bottle hung on the outside of the cage, with a water crock underneath it. The water crock is filled at least daily, but the water bottle is always there in case the bunny runs out. The crock also helps catch any drips from the bottle…Brownie prefers drinking from the crock, but will use the bottle if needed.

I don’t think the bird waterers will work though…and they may not hold all that much more than a crock would.

                              Good luck!

Yes, Osprey, that’s the one! I only use that when I’m away for the weekends. They always have plenty of water.

Ahhh…I have one of those-LOVE it!! It’s a bit of a pain to empty and refill all the time, since it holds sooo much, and one time, they were trying to get into the top section when I had it blocked off (after spay care) and they DUMPED IT!! (Poor Rupert thought his roof was leaking rain!! ) but other then that it’s a god send as I NEVER worry that they don’t have enough water!
