A friend of mine, the girl who recently lost her bun Rufio, contacted me not long ago about a friend of her sister’s who was looking to get rid of her rabbit. All my friend could tell me was that it was free and she wanted it gone as soon as possible. So I let her give my email address to this girl and the girl contacted me, she had a 2 yo (approx) Dutch male who she purchased to be “friends” with her other rabbit and they weren’t getting along, were in the same cage so she needed him gone asap or else she would have to take him to the SPCA.
Unfortunately our town’s SPCA sucks and is not bunny friendly whatsoever. Barking dogs everywhere, cats meowing, very small and run down ![]()
I wasn’t exactly looking on expanding to 6 rabbits right now, but I would rather take on another bun then send it to stress city where euthanasia is probably the expected outcome.
So, this is Sawyer, named from the Lost character, because’s he’s a suave escape artist. >.< Unfortunately he is not altered (darnit!) but he's awfully inquisitive.
Oh, first, here is Jazz saying “Oh…hai!”

And now, introducing Sawyer…

Markin’ it up, complete with pellet poops. Yuuki is not impressed.

Mmm…floor.

I purdy?

Fishtank is mine!

Oh! Hai there?

My new mom is fascinated with my bunny butt for some reason.

This is the “Hehhe, yes Master, yessss…yes Master…hehehe” picture. ROFLMAO. He was mid-clean.

Mine!

Messing up my recently sweeped hay pile.

Bunny butt!
very very cute! and well done you for taking him on! its a tough decision isnt it? but our hearts call for them and we cant stop it!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!
Igor Sawyer!! He is really, really purdy. You’re a softie.
So now that you have him, are you still signed up to get the puppy? I’m trying to picture a puppy getting along with your huge gang of bunnies!
Hai, Jazz, BTW.
LL, when do you get to move into your new house? Do you have much land/yard around it? Except for the issue of heating, I can picture you putting up a mini-studio in your back yard to house all the animals. Like a tool shed with central air. (Expensive, I know, but you know more about how barns are kept warm so maybe it’s possible.) If you start from the beginning in the house, you can really create a set up that you like for the buns/piggies/groundhog. I think it’s Tonks that has that great enclosure in a converted closet. Just thinking out loud. Picture it: every time someone opens a closet to hang up their coat, there’s a bunny inside!
Hey,
I move in the beginning of June, and yeah I’m still planning to get my puppy
I have an acre of land, and it’s 3 bedrooms inside so I could convert a bedroom into a bunny room. Tonks enclosure was awesome!! I loved it!!
I think I’ll be able to figure something awesome out
On a good note, the “groundhog” aka the hedgehog
that I had went back to its former owner…so now it’s 6 buns, 3 guinea pigs and the fish. And the pup, but I don’t have her yet!
Does this mean I have to stop celebrating Hedgehog Day?
An acre – yea! Glad you’re giving them their own bedroom. I think you’ll have fun arranging their set up. I might start calling you Dr. Doolittle.
Wheee, lol…
There are hedgehogs and groundhogs – they are 2 different types of creatures. Hedgehogs are the little spike balls, and groundhogs are like…Wireton Willy or Punxatawney Phil…

moar funny pictures
at this point they’re gonna need the master bedroom! lol! he is a sweet bun! i know it’s hard when someone is saying, take him or he’s gone.
what are your plans for altering? i was thinking… if you could try to budget for one alteration per month, you’d be done by the end of the year. maybe do two that you want to cage together first, so they can start bonding and then move on… 3 cages in the new house would be easier than 6!
OK Lion Lop – you need to marry a vet!!! Don’t even waste your time with these other guys! Sawyer is adorable. Gorgeous fur.
He’s sooo cute!! I love the name!! I’m glad you will give him a good home!!!
He’s so cute! I love the Igor Bunneh picture!
Oh dear Loppy, so many furbabies! ^^ But I know you take exquisite care of them. Sawyer is precious! I don’t normally like Dutch buns, but he is so obviously unusual. What a blessing he’s come to you.
lolz teh Igor bunneh. Now you should get a piccy of him that you can label, “Walk THIS way…” and he’s doing some kind of a funny walk. ![]()
Sawyer is definitely unique for a Dutch. He doesn’t fit the “breed standard” for coloration which I was reading about earlier. Oh well. I like this little blaze and his little white feet and his half ‘collar’…heh.
I wish I’d gotten a picture of him when he jumped up the side of the NIC cage and was hanging over the edge not sure what to do and I looked up and went “SAWYER! GIT DOWN” and he turned and stared at me…!
LOL it’s a darn good thing you are getting a house!!! LOL You have six now right?
sooo many bunnies!!
Yes, 6 ! LOL…
oo well surely you needed a nice round number of bunnies right? no wonder you couldn’t resist him, he’s soo cute!
ya, it sounds like time to get a house 😉 Maybe de bunnays will let you live in the shed or garage, he he. the igor LoLBun had me in stitches.
Hahah, I’ll be moving in June
I can’t wait to set the new place up!!
First of all, I love Jazz’s face. It makes me smile. Oh my six buns. Your newest one is really cute ![]()
