Hey everyone. My Daddy has been staying with me for about a week now, but anyway my “Cookie”  has really taken a liking to him.  Or so I think….

At first she was really shy of him, and then after a few days she jumped on the couch (for the 1st time) and was just all over him.  I’ve never seen her that way. She was smelling him, climbing him, etc. Then all of a sudden she peed on him!  Why do u think she would do that?  Was she doing that cause he was a new person and marking her territory or do u think it was just cause it was her first time on the couch?  And maybe she was trying to let him know it was her couch or was she simply marking him!?!  What should I do if she continues to do this?  Or if she decides she wants to pee on the couch? anything I can do to deter her? (its a leather couch) so it’s easily cleaned but still….

          Woops! Sorry, Dad!

Bunnies like to pee on soft things like pillows, blankets and couches. perhaps she found your dad’s lap nice and comfy and decided it would be a good place to pee….

Hard to tell if this was just an isolated incident or something she will do on a regular basis. If it turns out to be a regular thing, keep her off the couch. But let her up there again to see if it was perhaps just a one time thing. Watch for the back tail to lift up – that’s when you know!

Other than that, she could very well have been marking him as her own. Is she spayed? It’s not unheard of for an unspayed female to behave like this around a male, of ANY species!

Oohh that means she is claiming your Dad as hers …. hehe!

Its a statement she is making.  Ooohh I like Dad  … Mmm here Dad just a little pressie from me.  I know … it is not very cute though!

My bun Sprinkles was always peeing on me even though she was spayed.

Yeah I think she’s in love your dad!  My bun peed on my son – same thing, all over him got really excited and then peed! I had a whole thread on this awhile back and that  is what everyone said!

Bailey, our first bunny, peed on Scooter when he picked him up at the pet store.

LOL ohhh noo! Now should I feel dismayed that I’ve not been peed on?? LOL

I’d agree with everyone here, I think she decided she liked him!! And darn for some reason bunnies like to pee on soft things like couches!!

Hey yall!  I just wanted to give yall an update on Cookie and Daddy. It seems it was just a one time thing.  But I must agree with all u guys. Cookie is absolutely CRAZY about my Daddy!  How funny.  She’s always climbing all over him and now has taken to climbing all over him and wanting to sit on his shoulder while he’s on the couch, and gives him bunny kisses!  TOO CUTE!    And she’s also kinda hmmmm biting him but not hard…. like she’s grooming him and licking him and stuff.  Daddy was like OMG at first and then I had to explain she’s not BITING you.  I’m affraid when he leaves from his visit she will be heartbroken.

And now Daddy is seriously thinking about getting him a house bunny, seeing how good Cookie is with her litter, etc…. So hopefully I will be able to find him a rescue bunny!  Thanks to all u guys.

Cookie is so cute and that she loves your dad, how sweet

Piccolino peed on me the other night! Crazy. I was just laying on the couch and he hops up like he sometimes does and all of a sudden i felt a very warm sensation on the back of my leg…He’s only done that one other time, when I had only had him for a few days….

Well, To stop the peaing habits I make Domino look at his markings and pull him over to the litter-box. It’s working quite well and I do the same thing when he goes on the couch(unfortunately mine isn’t leather), I also say litter-box continuosly until I’m finished carrying him to the litter-box. With the daddy thing, if she is not spayed then she could easily be marking her territory or if she is spayed then she is wanting to pea on soft surfaces and being a natural born bunny. If she continues to go on the couch approch her in a calm matter to get her off unless you wish to have pea all over you.
