Do any of you know if this is available at walmart? or what section would it be in at like petsmart, petco etc?

lulla is molting so badly. i just choked on a hairball..litterally. now i know how pets feel LOL! it was disgusting… my dark blue pants look like their made out of rabbit fur. all my cothes are just coverd…my computer is even covered! it takes 3 lint roller sheets to get an acceptable amount off my clothes. I only have 1 pet…you guys are brave. very brave.

I tried brushing her over and over. i even took a wet rag to try to help get some of it out. it helped a lot actually, but i need to invest in this furbinator thing!

do you mean the furminator?  i found mine at a local independantly owned pet supply store called global pet foods.  not sure if i’ve seen them elsewhere but their website says they’re available at petco and petsmart.  also there’s a search page to find a store near you… http://www.furminator.com/resellers/main.cfm

This is interesting because I swear Edson is not shedding at all and hasn’t since I have had him (Nov 07).  I do vacuum daily but am not aware of any shedding.  I have been giving him those papaya tablets.  I seriously wonder if those really do work.  How is Lulla besides the shedding?

Lulla’s doing great! Thanks for asking! We’re having a slight problem with chewing carpet though…she’s already gotten a hole in it, and since my aunt and uncle hate her I’m kind of worried if they notice it. I’ve put 2 blankets down underneath her pen area and she digs it ups and chews through it. I went around looking for reasonably priced linoleum/tile/something to put under it but i haven’t found anything. So for now, every time I see her starting to dig at the blankets and bite at them I spray her with water, and she usually takes off to her cage. My goal is she’ll stop doing it altogether although that looks to be impossible. I have seen her do it less though. The biggest problem is she does it at night time, and I haven’t been sleeping well because I’ve been trying to listen for her. I’m up almost every hour spraying her. lol I haven’t seen her really do it in the day time, and when I’m gone and come hope the blanket isn’t usually bunched up. She sleeps usually while I’m gone, so I think she thinks i need to sleep the same time she does.

Anyway! LoL! I went out and got that furminator dillio… Its amazing. It was friggen $40 though! For the small one! I about died I think. I went ahead and got it anyway because the molting is getting worse and doesn’t look like its ending soon. I’ve LITERALLY been choking on hairballs! Last night I woke up choking because I rolled over on a spot she was laying at on my bed where her hair rubbed off on and started choking for like 10 minutes. Now i really know how cats feel. LoL!

Also, while I was at the petstore I picked up a lint roller in the dog section. My lint roller was about out, and it was just one from wal-mart. I know they are a little more expensive at the pet store, but I was there, and I needed it. So I used it after I used the furminator and OMG! It works so much better! I assume its because it’s specifically designed for removing pet hair, but it only took me 1 sheet to get all the fur off my shirt and 1 for my jeans. I was using the regular one more frequently and you couldn’t even tell I just looked like a rabbit myself. Anyway, just a suggestion for those of you who are struggling with pet hair on your clothes/furniture.

i was shocked at that price too!  i figured if it wasn’t impressive i’d just return it, but it worked so well i thought the price was worth it.  did lulla let you brush under her chin?  thats where my girsl have lots o loose hair but i have a hard time getting to that spot with the furminator.  just wondering if you had a technique.  lol.  glad you like it too
