Our 2 holland lops, even though they’ aren’t from the same litter seem to have bonded well. They cuddle,sleep and even groom one another for the most part, until recently……Our baby, Shadow has become rather moody. She has never been the most affectionate rabbit since we adopted her but lately she has started thumping her foot  occasionally and growled twice at my boyfriend. She bit him last night also.  Luna (cagemate) and her have started mounting one another on the odd occasion, there seems to be no agression (biting etc) and they still snuggle up but this has us worried. Her recent behaviour is making it difficult to difficult to care for her (teeth checking, grooming etc) She HATES being picked up!!

Is this a phase, hormonal perhaps and would having her spayed make her a little bit easier to care for? Should I separate Shadow and Luna or woud that cause stress for them. Luna has started copying Shadow’s behaviour.

I love my bunny’s very much, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
