Ok, our spoiled little bunnies have something in common…They are all little stinkers!!
Kokanee has takent to ripping open our garbage bags like a dog and searching for food!!! (We live in an apartment so we leave the bags by the door until there are a couple then take them down…No more!! Now they have to go out right away).
Kahlua likes to search out feet (when your sitting and doing something) and BITE THEM and then RUN AWAY! LOL
Rupert’s not that bad (YET!) but he has chewed through the cord protector to sever my computer cord TWICE! (it was off!)
What do your spoiled bunnies do that ‘s bad?
oh no! hopscotch does the garbage bag thing too.. we used to wait till we had 2 or three then take them out but we cant be so lazy anymore lol
have u tried the whole OUCH!!! thing when they bite to show them you dont like it then send some mild negative bunny vibes their way like turning your back and pretending not to be interested?
and i have my computer blocked off using see through plastic (just cheap from a hardware store) aswell as cord protectors, it doesnt look too bad and it serves its purpose quite well as we have had no chewed wires!
just some ideas for you!
and to answer your question my bunny nips my ancles until i pick him up.. he runs into the fridge and leaps up onto one of the shelves like lightening when ever we reach in.. he can get there and into a shelf before i can reach in to get the milk for my tea ! also he likes to wind one of my dogs up by strutting past looking the other way (which i know is like a bunny insult) and my dog whines and looks sad its cute hehe but they get on well and have recently been seen cuddling! (i am still having panic attacks anytime they are in the same room and im always VERY close by just incase) i think thats about it, he does a kinda jumpy up binky style thing to get onto the sofa and when i go to get him from his pen he jumps up and down at the door lol soo cute!
Well let’s see. I have a hard time seeing anything that my bunnies do as bad, per se, as I am a very relaxed mum when it comes to my furbabies. But let’s face it, rules are rules!
Luckily, my buns can’t get near the garbage…I dread to think what they’d find in there! 0_o And the fridge is about as dangerous. (REALLY need to clean that puppy out!)
I feel for you on the biting thing, as I have never been nipped by Pip before, until I wore a pair of socks into the xpen to keep my feet warm on the cold floor. Up until then, she’d only seen my feet, and she seems to have a toe fetish, so when she found the toes were obscured by the socks, she gave me a firm chomp. Left a red mark on the top of my foot. Needless to say, I have let her know in no uncertain (firmly but gently) terms that this is a no-no! (However, she still would rather your toes were exposed when you are sitting with her, she just likes to sniff them for some odd reason. And anyway, animals don’t wear socks, so if you’re our bunny mommy, why are YOU wearing them?)
Mimzy has dug and chewed on my shirt and pants before…that is something I can’t have. (Mostly because I just don’t want him ingesting stuff that’s bad for him.)
The only thing I can think of that really frosts my cake is when I took Mimz out for summer days in the Bun-galow, and then I couldn’t get him to come in. This was when he first got here though, and I am more adept and catching him now, so that’s probably not going to surface as a problem from now on.
And then of course, there is the litterbox throwing. But that’s my fault since I still haven’t gotten those clips to hold them down. (writes them on shopping list) And Pip needs something else to chew on besides my feet, and anything plastic in her habitat.
Gee whiz, I just can’t think of anything they do that I consider wrong…I mean…will you just look at those faces? How can one see anything but angelic innocence in those big, liquid eyes? ^^
Stormy is a bit of an amateur fashion designer. He feels any clothes (and blanket and towels) lying around should have a couple of little holes in them. I can’t tell you how many good shirts he’s “re-designed”. Of course, since I spend so much of my money on the little brat, I wear his designs proudly.
Last night he jumped on my shoulder (I was sitting on the bed). He likes to sit there like a parrot. All of a sudden, he did the “diggy-diggy” on my neck, bit me and made a run for it!
Bindi is usually a pretty good bunny. Except the other day he was out running in the rabbit room. I have a 4 foot stuffed bunny and when I put Bindi home I noticed the little bugger peed on his arm! I guess Big Bunny must have done something to cheez him off.
Everything they do is just so cute, even if it’s bad (or painful). Their antics make me laugh. You just can’t get mad at them. Maybe it’s the ridiculously large ears or the cute little sniffer; either way, they always win.
LOLZ…if Mimzy felt the need to pee on every toy rabbit I own, for whatever the reason, he’d be out of wee before getting to the second row, poor thing! ^^
Yah, what IS it with the air conditioned clothing? I mean, it’ll be great come summertime, but in our minus forty below zero stuff, well, it just ain’t practical, I gotta say. >.<
The holes in the clothes are like the sweatsuits you see in catalogs that have the kitty pawprints all over them and the saying “No outfit is complete without a few cat hairs.” Or, “My cat walks all over me.”
They need to make these with bunny pawprints and appropriate sayings like, “He’s the BIG boss, I’m the little boss.” Or maybe, “Da wabbits are coming hooray, hooray!”
I keep thinking that someone listening in on the going’s on in the livingroom would be a little shocked at me saying “STOP EATING MY PANTS!!”

I can’t leave any paper products within Frankie’s reach.

hehe aww so cute! its like he is trying to make paper snowflakes :p hehe
Growing up we had guinea pigs, particularly two named Piddy and Geadimo (Latin for Bill. My bro rescued him from a girl at school who’d named him after her boyfriend.) We had a home made wooden cage with a screen door laying across the top. They always managed to push the door aside enough to jump out. We came home one day, found them missing, and started searching around the house (as usual).
Found Geadimo, the fatter of the two, in bliss. He had found the paper grocery bag of lettuce leaves on the floor, chewed a hole in the bottom side, and was inside the bag munching lettuce. Lettuce above him on his head, surrounding him, strewn in front. Like he jumped into the deep end of a pool of lettuce. Pig Heaven!!!
Wow a lettuce bath! how hopscotch would love that hehe
LOL.. littlepuffytail…a bunny hicky!
Shadow loves to eat paper. He also loves to climb, there is not a surface he won’t go for. If he sees the cats do it, he will plot and plan and experiment until he works it out. You can hear the gears turning. Once he gets the route, he works on the speed. He can get on the hutch and into the fruit bowl in the blink of an eye. Last night he got through a quarter of a banana, peal and all! I actually had to wrestle the banana away from him. I picked it up and he was still attached! I was braced for some serious poopy butt, but he must have a cast iron gut. He pooped his brains out but they were not smushy or runny.
His other bad habit is shoes. But only my boyfriends so “what do I care” LOL.
i thought of another.. hopscotch loves to rush over to the dog bowls when they are finished and sit in them.. so there is like a mad dash between the two of us to get there first.. also he likes to stick his head into the dogs water bowl and wet all the long hair round his face (hes a lionhead) omg the amount of times i have had to dry him off 😐
Meadow loves the couch. the only bad habit she really has is she will hop onto the back of the couch and sit there and chew on the edges of the headrest covers. sometimes she’ll knock them off so they fall to the seat of the couch, than jump down and lay there chewing the covers. we have little bunny bites all along the edges… so i have to put them back and postiion them so the bites are facing the wall… and out of my hubby’s view… lol.
LOL Beka, that is how Shadow gets to the hutch and fruit bowl, via the back of the couch, a short leap to the stereo cabinet and then onto the fruit bowl. If that was him, he would be on the window sill making holes in the screen and wrecking the blinds.
He only drinks out of the dogs bowls. He makes slurp noises when he drinks, and I did come home one day to find a new bag of yesterday’s news open and all 40 pounds scattered across the room. It was funny, there were circular patterns in the wreckage and we could just imagine the binkys going on as he spread it around.
wow litter binkies! hehe
I just caught the lovely Pringles sitting the in the guinea pig’s condo, beside their wooden house beating a tune with her front feet. The piggies would run out and make a lap and run back in the house and Pringles would start again. She’s not going after them or anything, just seems to be watching, but I’m going in there now to build yet another (sign) nic barrier to keep her out. I’m sure the piggies don’t appreciate the tune on the roof.
All of our remotes are missing buttons. And we’ve had to replace the speaker wires from the TV twice, as well as cell phone chargers, laptop power cords… and this is AFTER bunny-proofing the place! Not only are they naughty, but they see bunny-proofing as a challenge! They also like to find their way to the tops of the coffee table and couches when they think no one’s looking. It’s very cute to see them do little mini-binkies across the couch when they think they’re alone!
oh noo now he decides to dig thru the pillow and get behind the couch. I stuffed another pillow didnt’ work
I jsut stuffed a huge couch cover and it seems to be holding up on top of the pillows stuffed in that crack.
that bugger. he has a new project I suppose. BUNS!!!!! just don’t pee on fouads couch he will soon tire (I hope) of trying to get behind there. Brat. then he will leave fouads couch alone and go back to trying to pee on mine Oh Dear. does it ever end with these things? otherwise he is just soo perfect.
ooo all those naughty bunny stories!
our bunnies like to chew on everything too! Hareiette must like fantasy books, she keeps munching my various Mercedes Lackey novels.
my dutch bunnies have white socks on!! 😀
lol… cute thread. baby bun nibbles on things (see exhibits A and B below… haha digxme) and recently has found the doors on my tv stand >.<
pinky also does wild litter binkies spreading poops, hay & pee soaked yesterdays news pellets.
oh… and they both leave puddles on the floor & dog since they are having a blind territory war. hopefully that’ll diminish after pinky gets spayed.

my dutch bunnies have white socks on!! 😀
lolz…I was just thinking of the dutch bunnies after I posted that, Lago. I was wondering if anyone would call me on it. ^^
LOVE your username, BTW. That is really clever!
Frankie eats the spikes off of the zoom groom too. Revenge maybe?
What the heck is in those papya tablets?? My son was going to give the lovely Pringles one last night and as soon as he took the lid off, she charged him, jumped on his knee, grabbed the plastic container and slung them all over the floor. It was a contest to see if we could hold her off of them until we got them all picked up, She was a wild woman! My son is 6’1″ so he’s no pushover.
AH ha that’s funny
I’ve been holding off Piccolino’s papaya tablets. Now he only gets one when he goes to bed. It’s helpful for getting him to bed when he doesn’t want to go.
lol Truffles hordes treats which means he sometimes acts like a very rude bunny running into the farthest corner of his cage and facing the wall as if to say “none for you sucker”. once I figured out what was going on though he only gets treats at bedtime as it means he will voluntarily run to “bed”
oo apanda – that reminds me of Viktor and Pandy – they love to steal treats out of each others mouth!
Bunzi – I had a similar experience with yesterdays news! I came home and my roomate met me at the door laughing. He said he heard the bunnies playing and that it sounded a little different so he went to investigate. They had pulled the bag into the middle of the room and chewed two huge holes in the bottom. Apparently he thought they were having a great time with it, and there was already going to be a mess to clean up, so he let them continue to play in it until I got home a few hours later.
the litter is now kept safely behind closed doors in my house!
today truffles somehow managed to squeeze himself into the tiny crack left by me not closing the laundry closet well enough. well the closet has a sloping bottom shelf so once he got in he couldn’t get anywhere, panicked, and slipped and skittered his way out to careen across the linoleum. but I still found him trying to investigate under the door and see if the crack was big enough for him to fit again just now (it doesn’t close well). hehe truffles the brave explorer!
Loisme, there is no safe place for litter with Shadow, you can’t win with him. We stored it in a bin. We came home to find the lid off and Shadow in it.
OMG just little ears stickling up! LOL!!!!
My little bedroom bunnies have developed a new fun game – its called – let’s pee on Betsy while she sleeps! I think they are in the process of attempting to claim my bed, so I put a shower curtain on it during the day. They seem to have taken this as a direct challenge, and now like to hop up onto the bed and pee on it…WHILE I”M IN IT! Its a good thing they are so darned cute….
OMG!!! That’s too funny! I think your right though…They are sooo bad that they have to come very cute and fuzzy!! Any ugly varieties would be doomed!
That is the amazing thing about bunnies….if they do it once, they want to do it again and again, perfecting the behavior. An especially useful trait with bad bun behavior….any plans to thwart them just challenges and motivates them to greater efforts.
Puny humans, beware!
hehe yes all our buns are right mischievous! hehe but soooo cute
Cadbury has also joined the Bad Bunny Club. Ever since her spay five months ago, she has been so good about not digging/eating/chewing the carpet – until now! She has rediscovered how fun putting large holes in the carpet can be! I have no idea why she suddenly started doing this again, but she’s a bad bunny! (But so cute…)
maybe she picked up a smell that wasnt there before?
I have no idea. Nothing has changed in that room since before she was spayed! Plus, she’s not just digging in one part – it’s all over. Bad, bad, bunny.
oh no! poor you and your carpet lol have you tried using a squirty gun when she is doing it? i have found this very effective!
Yes, I have tried the squirt bottle, but all I ended up with was a very wet bun who was still digging the carpet. I’m just going to have to go back to blocking off her favorite diggy places.
I would put some seagrass mats on top of the places I couldn’t reach (under a loveseat – one of his favorite hangouts.) That way he could chew it, not the carpet.
A Spockie Bad Bunny moment: we were staying with my parents, and they had these pads with felt backs that fit over the diningroom table to protect the wood when they used it. I didn’t know that they stacked them under their bed. Spockie would greet my mother in her bed, run under it, circle around and come back to her feet. Well, he stayed under for a few minutes when he did that – chewng the pads. Did he bite off a corner? Noooooo. He chomped a big section right out of the middle one, so when they used it a plate would rock on the spot. I learned this too late – and the pads were moved to safety. Yuck! Himself was fine of course.
LOL Pam….Shadow got up on the dining table and ate a section of the table pads out of the center! BAD BAD BUNNIES!!!
Bunzai – too funny!!!!!
Shadow goes will with a nice Chianti….(Kidding)
LOL Pam, the bf is always threatening to sell him to an Italian restaurant. Pass the fava beans.
Monkey Bob earned the Monkey part really easily.
Worst Bob moment. He’d been chewing/digging/scratch the rug behind the carpet forever. We put some cardboard down and let him have at. One day I’m sitting there and the whole couch is rocking and it occurs to me… Bob is IN the couch. Sure enough an inspection revealed Bob had eaten a big hole in the back of my leather couch and was in there doing god only knows what.
After that we blocked the back of the couch off. Duh.
Now he has taken to begging me for MY supper. the other nite he decided to jump onto my plate. otherwise I feel little bunny feet on my back then he jumps to my shoulder and tries to get a bite from there. as I eat. Yes it is a race to get the papaya tablets to his food bowl b4 he gets there. Otherwise he knocks them out of my hand and I have to go retrieve them from the bottom of his cage as he is frantically searching his food bowl for them. ahaaa. and chasing my hand around I shake the container then pull 2 out then crawl to his house as he tries to race me there. then he has to go to bed. heheee. beats chasing him around. oh how he hates to go to bed. they are so adorable. Just gotta love em I can’t resist. your stories are cracking me up. he finally quit peeing on my couch. and the couch cover has stopped and all those pillows stuffed in the crack has finally gotten him from going behind the couch and having a blast back there doing only he knows what. and when I handle Itty Bitty he gives me those broken hearted looks so I have to cover his cage when I hold her and when I go play with her he waits at the door that I put a gate up at looknig all sad. waiting on me to return to him. I have cardboard so he can’t see us together or rather so I can’t see his sad face. It is harder on me I think than on him. heartbreaking.
Charlene that is funny (not really but you have to laugh) I had my cats get into the box spring of my bed. So I can just imaging what the little rodent can do. He loves to copy anything the cats do.
Bunnytowne, Shadow has been hit on the head with his food dish so many times trying to beat me to the spot where I put his dish of pellets down. I am surprised he does not have a concussion.
so tthe vet put truffles on cage confinement due to some bruising and swelling from yesterday’s neuter. this pissed truffles off so much that he learned a new trick to adequately express his displeasure: splash. truffles found out that if he “digs” in the water bowl he can splash water astonishing distances! there was seriously water 3-4 feet outside of the door! argh hopefully he is ready to go back to the bottle soon.
Hell has no fury like a bunny on lock down.
lol bunzai you are too funny! that should totally be on a sign over truffles’ head right now!
Lmao! Cotton and Truffles crack me up.
Bunzai, that comment just became my latest email quotation! ^^ Too funny!
My bunny (Easter) Runs up to my ankles bites then pulls and before I can get her she runs behind my chair…both of my ankles have HUGE sores on them now…oww HAPPY EASTER BUNNYS
Minzmum & Apanda, believe me, we found out after Shadows neuter, it was better to confine him to one room than his cage. He carried on so much I was afraid he would injure himself more than letting him run around. Everything that was not nailed down ended up in his water bowl.
We took his cardboard castle out to keep him from jumping off the top, I am still recovering from the trauma of giving him his meds . Forget about checking his incisions!
oh man yea giving meds is super traumatic! today I just could NOT get him, so I injected the metacam into a bananna piece, and he ate it all up
I also thought that maybe him being pissy about his confinement would cause more harm than too much run space, but luckily I just picked up an X-pen off craigslist for $20! so now that its hooked up to his cage he has enough room to appease him but not enough room that he’ll be enticed into running around like a mad man (I hope).
Apanda, you are lucky you could fake him out. Metacam has such a funky smell, he was not falling for it. Shadow is a glutton, but he aint stoopid, LOL
My son just called and said the inmates are running the asylum! Mike works and goes to school at night so he just got up at 2pm and the lovely Pringles and Toby were terrorizing the house. They got a grid loose and tried to mark the entire house. I don’t let them in the front part of the house because that’s Daisy and Lola’s territory and it sounds like the Dirty Duo were trying to stake a claim…lol
ah well, if at least they didn’t get to my computer, that’s what dustpans are for. Guess they had a good time in the cat food and bread again.
bad, bad bunnies!
Kathy
LOL Kathy, God only knows how long they were out to make such a mess. I keep seeing these 2 daring each other to bigger and more daring dirty deeds. I would have loved to seen there expressions when they got busted,
lol
