I’ve had Frankie for about a year and a half, and he is going through his biggest shed ever right now! It’s also a particularly bad allergy season for my family, and I’m sure the bunny fur everywhere isn’t helping.

Anyway, I’m wondering what brushes you guys use.

Frankie has medium length fur that is also medium coarseness.
He doesn’t really like to be brushed, but doesn’t mind things that are noisy.

I’m thinking or investing in one of those fancy pants Furminator type brushes, but i’m skeptical.

        Any recommendations?

The best brush I’ve used so far is the Zoom Groom, but I can’t use it on him for a long enough length of time to get to even half of his loose fur.

I’ve tried pretty much everything and my fave grooming tools are : a baby comb and brush set (thank you DollarStore), 2 hands and a bowl of water. I’ve tried several different rabbit and cat slickers/combs, even some of my horse’s brushes but luckily for me the cheapy method works best

The furminator is truly amazing! I bought the small one from Amazon.com, I think it was about $20.

The only problem is, your bun has to enjoy being brushed.. if not, he won’t sit still for it. My Thumper loves it, and it gets so much fuzz off of her, but Wabbit (the one who really needs it) won’t sit still for me to try.

It’s not any more “harsh” than any other brush, and Thumper actually likes it a lot more than the other little brush we have. So.. do with that information what you will!

(can you tell I should be writing a paper right now, but instead am posting about bun buns??)

Mmmm molting time …. oh so much furr flying … Gosh Luey has molted even since I had him (12 months).

He hates the brush … I bought one from the Rabbit Shop … its good though.  I can’t brush him inside as so much fluff flies out.  I take him outside and do it, although I tend to wear most of the furr LOL.  This way Luey will sit still between my legs … as he is too scared to move being outside in a different environment.

Mmm he does need another brush thinking of it … but with my sister’s dog outside it may have to wait.

              Dawn xx

I use the furminator, the small one. Both my rabbits have gotten use to it. It really works well.

i use a furminator on the dog – works GREAT – but the buns won’t let me near them with it.   so far my best success with the buns is petting them with wet hands, stroking forward & backward.  they think they’re getting a massage.  its certainly not a tidy method but it does the trick.

Yeah, when I brush Frankie, I pet his head too so i trick him into staying around. I made some good progress yesterday petting his head and using the zoom groom, but I’m seriously about ready to just vacuum him. Hahaha.

I use a wire comb and a baby brush. I have the “Shed Ender” and it works O.K. but it takes forever.

I have the shed ender and think it’s only ok. I also have a flea comb and one of those red rubber square cat brushes. I don’t much love any of them, lol!
