So for months and months I have always wanted to go to F.O.L.T’s

for the free nail trim…but i’d end up working for forgetting…but finally

I went there yesterday and I have to say it was so worth it!!!! Although

getting Floppy into his carrier and taking him there was such an ordeal.

Oh the things bunny moms learn. LOL I felt like I was transporting a newborn

baby and I had no clue what to bring. I forgot to line the carrier with a towel

or at least newspaper so …he decided to pee on the way there and of course

he got his feet all wet, so my bf and I had to get napkins to dry his feet and then

wet some other napkins in order to clean him up a bit. I held him in my arms

as I was cleaning him and he looked comforted being there. So After we  cleaned

him up, put him back into the carrier…we went in and met the lovely lady who

is a Rabbit Haven Volunteer. She was so great with Floppy and she did it with

a lot less stress than when I try to trim Floppys nails! I feel bad for not getting her

name…she told the lady in front of me,  but I am so bad  with names. Anyway–

moral of the story being that…Next time I need to line his carrier with a towel…

bring wet wipes just in case and I will be  bringing him there to get his nails trim

most definitely from now on! Floppy even got a compliment by one of the volunteers

saying how handsome he is! If only Floppy took that into consideration because he

was mad at me for awhile after that! lol oh well!

I was there yesterday, probably helping adopters when you came in.  Was it Cindy who was doing the manicures?  She is very thorough and checks teeth, scent glands and ears as well as doing the nail trims.

Aw, free nail trims? Lucky you! I get so nervous even checking my buns for tooth probs and such, my hypnotizing skills are leaving MUCH to be desired! >.<
My vet will do the trims free, it’s just the visit that costs.
I can’t find the glands on my buns…Mimzy is SO fuzzy that I’m lucky to see skin (despite not being long-haired) and Pip, well, she is a little touchy about her bottom. (I don’t blame her.)
*sigh* Guess I’ll just have to work on my charm. ^^; Riiiiiight….

I think the free nail trims is a wonderful service that The Rabbit Haven provides, since most rescue groups charge for it!
Glad to hear it went smoothly and hope Floppy has forgiven you. I put a towel or baby blankie below my bunnies in the carrier and also some hay for munching,
