okay, so it was day one of house bunny training, so i let her run round in my room (instead of the bathroom to test if she was ready( cuz i read somewere that you shouldnt change her training stations cuz they need to learn the corners)) so shes running round my room, i had my bed blocked off, cords hidden and toys around for her to chew on. i had her water bowl and food bowl out , and her litter box. i blocked off the corners that didnt have the litter boxes in them, and i did my homework on the floor to watch her. so i showed her around, where everything was, then set her off. she was doing good, and my dad came in. he saw her, and was like dont let her pee anywere, so i smiled. as soon as he left, she jumped onto my bed, onto my feather blanket, went to the corner, and went.  i dont want to try again, but if i want to train her, i cant give up. what do i do? i also sprayed perfume in the places i didnt want her to go to. Help??

Block off your bed. Rabbits *love* to pee on beds– they smell like you, so the rabbit say “Hey, my territory now. I’m gonna make it smell like me.” Eventually, when she’s more comfortable with your room and your scent, let her supervised onto the bed. Eventually she should stop trying to mark it. Also, is she spayed? If she isn’t, that would make a big difference.

Aww! Yeah, I dunno bunnies love to pee on beds…I find that when you don’t want a bunny on a couch (so I assume it would work for beds too! ) you just pile it with pillows or blankies and they can’t really see a nice spot to jump up to and land, so they don’t! Try that

I honestly thought my bun was kind of mean and stroppy but I think it’s the intelligence of a duth actually….Once you guys reach an understanding about what’s ok and what’s not, you’ll be fine!

maybe if you want to spend lot of ‘$ buy a big panel play pen has 8 panels should block part of  your bed if it is against a wall will probably block it all off from her. I slept with mine til they started peeing on my bed now the bedroom is off limits however the living room is big enuf with this move I thought he would pee all over but he doesn’t. he poo’s on the couch where we lie down and poo’ed the floor some but he has settled down on the floor poo now. bunnies are something else aren’t they.

Kimberly it sounds like you have a platform bed. I think it was Spacehopper that suggests placing a shower curtain on your bed as the buns don’t like the feel of it on their feet. Of course you could block it off with panels etc. But the shower curtain would be easy and probably cheaper too.

Warren also likes to pee on my bed, so I’ve made a “pen” out of NIC pieces that can either be used as a fence around my bed, a fence around my computer and desk (for 100% supervised time), or a fairly large XPen attatched to the cage.  I got sick of having to wash all my bedding once a week.  He wouldn’t just get one blanket.  He’d make sure they were all piled on top of each other, so I’d have to wash the sheets, comforter, and 3 throws.

This way, he thinks he has the freedom of my room, and I don’t worry about bunny pee on my bed =)
