  Easter is coming up. I was get grumpy and depressed around major holidays. Especially Easter and Christmas.
  
  Bunnies are popular during easter. So people buy/adopt rabbits on easter and most of them end up getting abandoned. People think it’s just like buying a toy that they can throw away when they get bored with it.
  
  Christmas makes me really really really sad too. It’s because people dont want to pay for pet sitting. So they just decide to dump their pet. Once I’ve seen a bunny left by the front door of SPCA in LA. We freaked out because we didn’t know how long he has been out in the cold trapped in a little box.
  
  I think there should be an exam you have to take to own a pet required by the government. Just like getting a drivers license. The amount of time and effort that you have to put in to pass the exam will determine wheather you really want a pet or not.

  i love that poster! i was thinking along the same lines… why would you buy a pet for your child for a holiday? it doesn’t make sense.

  Thats such a funny poster! I’m going to get one to put up at my cube. I get all kinds of questions about bunnies because I have bunny pictures up, so I’m going to put a few “bunnies are NOT easter gifts” type posters up and hopefully start spreading the word Maybe we could start a little BinkyBunny “bunnies as Easter gifts” protest and everyone could put up a poster at work! I’ve educated at least 50 people about bunnies at work, think of how many people we could talk to

  I love that poster! Don’t be mad at me for writing this. When I first what trying to get my hubby to agree to get holly, I said she’d be a little more low matienance than a dog. In a way I was right. We don’t have to walk her, or put up with barking. In a major way I was wrong. I spend hours with her. Which I love. It has been great getting to really know her. My husband doesn’t want her to rome around the house, so we made a compromise. We made an enclosure just for her that takes up a lot of our living room. When we are not around, and at night, she is in a cage, but when my husband or I are at home she’s in the enclosure. We kind of have a bench in there for us to sit on and I sometimes lounge on the floor with her. She loves being in there with us. At night, I sometimes take her into a back room that no one goes into and she runs. Sometimes I’ll run in front of her (I never chase her!) and she will follow. It is soo funny. No that poster is right on.
