  I need some good vibes, I am going to have a chat today about a job, and I am sooooo nervous.
  
  I tend to rabbit on a bit when I get nervous, I have to stop and think and as my hubby said slow down.
  
  The job is Property Officer in the Police Department and the officer in charged is going to have a chat with me today.
  
  He said it is for 1 month and it is to get my foot in the door, he said then it will be easy for me to get permanent work, it is a Government job which here is a great place to work.

  take a deep breath & have a couple of questions ready so if you find yourself starting to get into nervous chatter you can ask a question to break your momentum.

  The job is a CSO Customer Service Officer (civilian employee).
  
  Me as a Police Officer, if someone came up threatening me I would cry and run for my life. LOL I’m a scaredy cat.
  
  I attend to the front counter for customer enquiries and general office procedures.
  
  I am also the property officers which entails all lost and stolen property, if someone comes in with items they have found I fill in their details and then log it on the computer system, I then try to find the owner if they cannot be found after 30 days I contact the person that brought the property in and that item becomes there’s to keep.
  
  If stolen property is not claimed we keep that for a few months and then I decide if it’s in good condition for auction or it is to be disposed of.
  
  I was very nervous and told the person that interviewed me that I had lost a bit of confidence, he told me he was impressed with my honesty and wanted to help get me back in the work force.
  
  Funny I was told the other day it was the year of the rat and you guessed it my year of birth is the rat, so it was about time something came my way.
  
  Sorry for any errors I am on my way out to celebrate with my girlfriend and it was a bit rushed.

  Thanks everyone, being home for quite a long time you tend to get a bit lonely and I guess I lost a bit confidence. This site has helped me a lot talking to people with the same interest as me.
  
  I must say the money will be good, with all the new additions in the house and all the spay/neutering coming up, it sure has come at a good time.

  that sounds like a cool job lisa! they’re smart to hire you… you’ll do a great job. isn’t it nice when honesty is rewarded like that? i’m sure they have interviewed people who have puffed themselves up to get the job. so, i wonder what kind of stuff you will see? i’ll bet every now & then there are some interesting items passing thru.

  CONGRATULATIONS!!! That’s great! I understand that nervous chatter thing. I can sometimes go down that spiral. I am more of a “tree talker” – I coined that to mean – a habit of branching off the subject, not focused or to discuss things only light related to the truck of the conversation – eh…like i just did right there. It’s a terrible habit that i learned from my family – ANYWAY, back to the “trunk” – Yahoo for you! I am also impressed with a boss who is impressed with your honesty. Sounds like your off to a great start!
