OK.  Well I am leaving for China in one week, and I am leaving the buns with my sister.  I plan on bringing everything from home to her house for them, that way they are still in their own "home".  What else should I bring, extra?  I will give her their Animax (neosporin for animals) i think that is what it is called.. but are their other medications I should bring?  I am not comfortable providing medications to my rabbits without a vet’s opinion, so I don’t have any in the house.  I am leaving her with 300$ on case anything happens and they need to go to the vet.  I have a rabbit vet out by where she lives, and although I do not like him as much as the current vet, he will do the job (he was Lillys vet when she had the GI stasis).. The buns have spent a few nights at my sisters house before (but I and bf have always been spending the night too) so it wont be unfamiliar people or territory for them.. but I am WORRIED!!!  I know my sister will do a good job, but I am mainly concerned about sickness/illness things..

I will be writing a detailed instruction sheet also, full with vets, emergency vets, this website, rabbit.org, etc.

have you seen the helpful bunny sitter guide on here?  it’s an easy to help you organize all the information for your sister.

I think you should talk to your sister about the signs that your buns might not be feeling well.  I’m not sure if you use a measuring cup for food, but that can be a helpful way to see what/if they’re eating if she’s concerned. Also encourage her to check their boxes to see if there’s anything out of the ordinary if somebunny is acting "off"

I wouldn’t leave other meds, especially since I’m assuming your sister is not super experienced with bunnies.

p.s. i edited your post subject since the emoticons don’t work there

^^Thank you, I tried editing it but I couldn’t change the title!! I didn’t realize it would turn up as an emoticon! Thanks, I will definitley use the sitter guide! The one helpful thing is I KNOW how Lilly acts when she is sick, so that will be a help in explaining things..

If you download the word file, you should be able to change the title. It’s the PDF file that doesn’t allow an easy change.
