Viktor likes to do that too, I call it the drama flop 😉

I’ve noticed he most commonly does this kind of flop in front of Hareiette’s house, since she’s in it watching him. I think there might also be a touch of I’m fabulous and out, but you’re stuck in your house snottiness in there too!

Awwww, sweet pic. Brian doesn’t tend to flop thesedays he prefers to snuggle up duck-like. Bettie will flop come rain or shine, whether it be in behind the curtain against the radiator, in her cushion innards or on my foot, she’s not proud. I love all the bunny flops on youtube, they make me chuckle a LOT!

It looks so funny when they flop, my babies do it all the time and they look so hilarious.

Oh how I wish Edson would flop!  He only sleeps in the duck like position too. I would think he’d want to just stretch out. Great picture!

Cadbury sometimes flops, too – I’ve been told it’s a sign of a very happy and content bunny!

Frankie used to flop a lot… now he only seems to do it when he’s in my bedroom… safe from my dad! Haha.

We call it "The Dead Bunny Flop" in our house.  What is really funny is that with DJ in particular, you can watch him decide he is going to flop, then he twists his head to the side, and then the rest of his body follows and he flops to the floor.  Sometimes his feet will go up in the air too, to add drama to the flop.

I had my bunny, Spockie, for 8 years. I love reading this site because it reminds me of some of my favorite things he used to do.

The first week I had him, he was only 9 weeks old and very small. We were alone and he was in his "house" (a new cage) on a platform. All of a sudden he just flopped. Splat, onto his side from a 4-footed standing position. I thought he was sick or something, since I’d never had a rabbit before and no one I knew had one either. I called my vet, who consulted their resident bunny expert – one of the tech. assistants. She said she had bunnies, and she wasn’t sure, but she thought he was just being cute!  He did it for years, and I am certain she was right. It was really cute, and sometimes his feet went up in the air and he looked surprised. He often proceeded to wash his front paws.

this is a bit embarrassing… but if i don’t tell you guys, who can i tell…?

just a few days ago, Meadow was flopped in her cage.  normally this does not cause me concern.  but she had not eaten much that day, her poops were fine, but i was still keeping a closer eye on her.  her eyes looked kinda weird, they were open but rolled back in her head more than i’ve ever seen.  also, it didn’t seem like she was breathing.  i freaked out and rattled the cage.  she jumped up (a reverse flop jump) and looked up at me, as if saying, "what the…?!!?  i was SLEEPING!!!"

That’s pretty funny.  Don’t you wish you had a camera nearby?  My dogs’ eyes look like that sometimes…I think they are in a deep sleep.  Poor Meadow – she was probably dreaming about some hunk of a man bunny!

lol… yeah i’ve def mistaken some great flops for sickness / death 😐   sadly i’ve found a bun that way who passed in the night & it left a scar in my mind.  i’ve taken to blowing on baby when she’s like that… as long as i see her lil’ nose twitch i’m satisfied that she’s still in the land of the living!

Every so often our bunnies will actually roll all the way around on their long axis.  Really weird.

LOL my bunnies flop, it’s sooo funny when they’ve been running around and playing and they do a sigh and a flop-they just look pooped!!

Kahlua does some funny flops, she’ll do a little streth, arch her bum high high in the air, then while in this “v” shape, flop hard on her side *laughing* she is one super goofy rabbit!

Ohmigosh I was just talking about this in another thread! (Don’t remember which one though.)

Mimzy is a first class flopper. I had the same reaction when he did it for the first time, “AAAHHH! IS HE DEAD??” Scared the raisins out of him jumping up and shoving my hand in the cage to check him. Poor thing. >_< BAAD mommy!

My daughter wishes her bun would flop. Pip just likes to cuddle into her hay manger (one of those ‘three corner hat’ litter boxes filled with orchard grass) and tuck herself up as tight as she can get. So if she wants to see the ‘legs-cut-out-from-under” bun, she has to come to Mimzy’s cage.

Too funny! I’m so glad other folks have flipped out over this display as well as me. Didn’t want to think I was the only one!
