Aww, what a cute bunch of buns!! Sid looks so mischievous, and I love Mopsey’s cow-lick. Bally looks like a sweetie. Welcome to BB!
Here are my two dogs, Kazee the Shih Tzu/Pekingese & Kozmo, the Yorkie :o))
We have a Pet Containment system and that’s what the collars they have on are for…….I caught them at their worst because grooming day happens to be tomorrow. I’ll have to take a few more pics of them after their day at the spa
Oh my gosh – they are all as cute as they can be. I love Mopsey’s coloring – love the white tummy. Bally is as cute as a button too!
Awwwww, thank you *blushing* The bunns are blushing, too…….as for Zee & Mo……they’re not at all humble, LOL !
I’m so glad to be here, I’m bustin’ !! :o))
Blessings,
Tami & the Bunn-ch
they are all so sweet! i love the names too. sid is cute – i think short human names for animals are funny. mopsey reminds me of a pair of cats i knew when i was young named flopsey & mopsey . and i can see what you mean by ballerina feet on bally bunny. the doggies are cute fur balls too!
Welcome! You are gonna love this website : ), Very cute pics…I love that you made you own bunny toy! I think that I’m going to copy it, if you don’t mind, because it’s such a great idea! Especially sticking newspaper on it.
Here are a few of my birds. I couldn’t find one of my African Grey, Einstein, on my PC so I must’ve already burned it on a CD. I’ll have to take some more pics of him to keep on my PC so he doesn’t feel left out, LOL !
Pic #1: Frodo, the Black Headed Caique
Pic #2: Li’l Sprout singing and acting like his Kingly self. He has a down feather stuck on top of his head and it doesn’t tickle in the least. When I was taking this picture I couldn’t help but want to scratch my own head because I couldn’t stand that !!! LMAO !!

Your birds are magnificent.
Lil’ Sprout looks like a hoot – love that name!
Parrots have such great personalities too. I’ve only ever had lovebirds, but it’s amazing how intelligent and sweet birds are. And I hear caiques are a total riot.
Of course you can copy it I don’t mind in the least ! I make my own parrot toys and I read somewhere that a lot of the parrot toys can also be used for rabbit toys, so I just added some wood, plastic chain, toilet paper rolls & newspaper rolled up and a hole drilled through the middle. I strung it all on Jute, or binder twine, that has NOT been treated with anything !
All toys that I make for my birds have to be birdy safe & likewise for my bunn-bunns, so I just use the same protocol
Can’t wait to see how your toy turns out !
Blessings,
Tami
What a cute bunch of pets you have.
Oh my, Mocha ! You said it ! Caique’s are just one big ball of personality ! They love to surf and Frodo is no different. He just slides all over you and doesn’t want you to talk or do anything while he’s doing his "thing" or he’ll growl at you, LOL. He acts the same way with his food, too……all you have to do is walk by when he’s eating al fresco and he’ll growl, LMAO ! He is just hilarious !
We have 2 Lovebirds that were given to us, rescues basically. The one was a Lutino that had splay-legs and just had tufts of feathers here and there like she had a disease…..turns out she had mites per the vets diagnosis and we had to give her medicine. She didn’t like it at all but when the meds were gone, her feathers started to grow in and she is now a beautiful Lutino Lovebird with a MAJOR attitude, LOL ! She still has the splay-legs but she gets around like she doesn’t have any idea that she’s disabled ! She’s really a remarkable little girl and we’re so very proud of her :o)
Her cage mate, a Peachface Lovebird, came with her because the lady that gave them to us thought it might be good for them to stay together because of the Lutino’s disability. She didn’t bother taking her to the vet because she didn’t want to spend the money ! Grrrrrrr
Anyway, the Peachface was a male and we had them in the same cage at first but the male kept wanting to get on her back. Since her breast bone is touching the cage bottom because of the splay-legs, I was afraid he was really going to hurt her, not to mention she couldn’t really fight back being pushed to the grate like that, so we separated them and Ripley, the Lutino female, just flourshed ! Jonesy, the male Peachface is doing good now, too, and now gets his kicks with the skeletons left from the millet spray he eats, LMAO ! Yep, we’ve got some horn-dogs among us !!
At least someone’s havin’ fun, hehehe !
Blessings,
Tami
PS: Can ya tell, from the names of my two Lovies, that I am a big "Alien" fan ?
I’ve only owned male lovebirds, and they both had a special toy that was their ‘lady love’, lol. I miss them. I got Scooter when I was 15 or 16, he was the best. When I joined the military, my sister kept him while I was in basic training and tech school. He got sick and she didn’t notice until he was too far gone. My last lovie, Squeak, was a sweetheart too. We were flying out here from HI last year and I made all the arrangements with the airline for my dog and the bird well in advance. When we were checking in our baggage and pets, the lady asked me what kind of bird Squeak was. When I told her he was a lovebird, she said that only parakeets and finches are allowed on their airline! When I was making their reservations over the phone, nothing was mentioned about only certain species being allowed! I ended up having to call a friend to come and pick him up from the airport before our plane left. Unfortunately, my friend was also leaving the island a week after us, so she gave him to friend of hers that owned several parrots. It was a very upsetting situation. Now my husband says parrots are too noisy and messy *sigh* One of these days, I’ll have another lovie.
Very cute zoo! I think it’s great your dogs get along with your buns. My Mom brings her Shih-tzu over some time and I have to close the rabbit room door because Stormy is literally scared stiff when he hears her sniffing around. I wish I could get a doggie to add to my clan.
You have an amazing zoo! You have some incrediably photogenic pets, either that or you have serious photography skills, many of my pet pics come out kinda of lame and don’t truly capture the personality of my beasts.
I appreciate bird people and have great respect for them. However, I am terrified of birds. Not really a crazy phobia but more negative experiences w/ birdies that I never got over…
I was goosed by a goose as a child and have not been able to go near geese since. My former vet in Chgo has an African Gray named Woody. As an adult, about 10 years ago, during a visit, I was encouraged to give him a treat. He wouldn’t go for the treat and went for my finger instead. This happened several times before I gave up.
Hi Tami, I was following your post from work. What a great bunch of fur and feather babies! I can just imagine what your house sounds like at dinner time!
Wow what a beautiful fuzzy, furry, feathered motley crew. LOve it!
i’m gonna come move it with you guys, Tami! it looks like so much fun at your place! Sid is awesome. i can see why you love him. i think that he is going to be a wonderful pet for you guys for years to come. Mopsey seems really big. how large do lionheads get? i thought they stayed ont eh smaller side. regardless, she’s a beauty. and Bally, what a cutie pie. i could really just scoop her up and squeeze. she is very delicate looking, esp. in comparison to the other two. your dogs and birds are very sweet. geez. you guys must buy out the pet supply store every month. lol…
Your cockatoo is beautiful! I’ve never seen one so pink!
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments everyone :o))
It just so happens we acquired another new addition to the family and might be getting the brother to this one if the girl can’t find a good home for him, so I’ll keep ya posted…….
She’s a little Holland Lop baby that was born November 17, 2007 and she’s a delicate little thing. She is nothing but a ball of fur, so darn CUTE !, & she has no fear and is ever so curious !! Hubby and I just love watching her ‘walk’ and hop around checking out her surroundings.
She is one of the most dearest, sweetest things we’ve ever seen in our lives ! I’ve taken so many pictures of her already…….I feel like a new mom (come to think of it…….I guess I am, huh ? LOL !).
Hubby & I got up last night and the night before (got her on Friday) to check on her in the middle of the night and make sure she was doing ok. We don’t have a cage for her yet since she’s so little……but we’ll be getting one for her this upcoming week (pay week, YAY !!! We get to go to the pet store !! I love it :o)) ) since she looks like she’s already grown a little in the 2 days we’ve had her here !! Amazing !
I’ve included some pictures of her……..
The proud new Mama of little Isabella (and maybe her brother, Romeo….we’ll see !),

Thank you BinkyBunny !
I’m so sorry if I caused any problems. I’m still trying to navigate the forum and find out what can be posted where, but I’ll make sure and post my pictures in the Lounge from now on :o)
To save some time…..can someone tell me what heading to look under to find out about making condos for the bunn-bunns ? Are there instructions, or maybe ideas ("blueprints", if you will……gee I feel like I could be the Architect I’ve always wanted to be ! hehehe), on how to make one there ?
Thanks a million :o))
Blessings,
Tami
hey tami… there are tonnes of great condo ideas on binky bunny under >bunny info >> cool habitats. check out the links at the bottom of the page. ***warning*** this can steal hours of time because the possibilities are endless
Thanks heaps & bunn-ches, babybunsmum :o)) I have laundry to do & am even going to hang them outside today because it’s so unseasonably warm (upper 60’s, close to 70 and I live in south, central Pennsylvania ! too weird….), so I most definitely will wait until I have time to sit and look around, LOL !
Thanks again for the info :o)
Blessings,
Tami
Ohhh my goodnesss <<>>> You have so many wonderful animals!! Beautiful bunnies dogs and birds!
I have actually bought quite a few bird toys for my bunns and they love em! I saw something the other day you might like unless you have it already of course!! It was this really shiny beaded necklace you wear so when your bird is on you he can play with it! I saw it at petsmart but I’m sure you could get it anywhere…It had mirrors and little rope things, made for birds of course!
cute cute cute cute cute cute cute!
*gasps for air*
Yes, I’ve made one of those for my birds and they just loved it, but it didn’t last very long, LOLOLOL !
I’m a member of a Yahoo group called CheepParrotToysNTips and there are sooooo many wonderful ideas people come up with in that group ! I am in the habit now of saving all our plastic water bottle caps, milk jug caps, plastic containers and lids, paper towel & tp cardboard rolls……..basically anything that’s bird safe and could be used to make a toy !! Right now there is a discussion going on about putting unpopped popcorn in plastic bottles and putting the lid back on making a "rattle" type toy. The birds love batting it & rolling it around on the bottom of their cages, whichever way you choose to use it (hanging or as a foot toy).
I need to get some untreated leather strips because a lot of my birds like to cut through the other types of rope I use & then the toy falls to the bottom of their cage. I then have to go through the whole process of restringing everything all over again and it ends up being very time consuming and frankly, just a pain in the butt ! I have to use stainless steel chain with a couple of my bigger birds because even leather won’t stop them from severing it ! *sigh*
It’s a never-ending battle trying to please everybody ! And sometimes I just can’t ! LOL !
Blessings,
Tami
Awwwww, thanks digxmexnow *blushing* All my critters say thanx, too :o))
Haha, you’re welcome Tami!
