  Stormy has been shedding a lot these last few days. Mostly around his tail. I noticed a large amount of loose hair in this area. When I picked him up yesterday I noticed he has a bald spot about the size of a quarter right above his tail. Is it normal for buns to shed out completely in one spot like this while shedding?

  Is Stormy your Rex? I know rabbits have some very odd patterns when they do their big shed. It’s possible that the small patch is from the moulting.

  My bun is a rex and has a bald stripe down the middle of his back about 1/2 an inch wide….about every 6 to 7 months…lol…I always help by giving him his bunny massage and removing the lose stuff….puts him in bunny heaven….right now he has got a full coat.

  I think that not all rexes shed in big patches but some do….i gess we are just lucky…lol
