Ok I know I said I was going to post what happend when I introduced Mr.B and Riley but I’ve been busy.

Well we decided to introduce Mr.B our 2yr old mini lop and almost 3 month old ductch Riley both unnuetered males.  We took them to the screen back porch and at first they just hopped around without notcinig each other. Then Mr.B had noticed Riley and hopped over. First Mr.B and Riley sniffed each other and Mr.B started grooming Riley’s head.. good so far .  Then Mr.B decides hey I’m going to hump Riley. Luckily Riley is alot faster then him. We tried squirting Mr.B with a water bottle but Mr.B was so focuse on humping him. It almost seems like Riley stopped and thoguth ok maybe he’s done now and Mr.B would do it some more. Poor Riley so I picked him up and he was so relaxed then and Mr.B just kept hopping around my feet.  We thought Mr.B would be more calmed after that while and let Riley back down and Mr.B goes over slowly and starts sniffing Riley’s head and keeps sniffing farther back until he humped Riley’s head and marked it!! Poor little guy. So we called it a day for them and put Mr.B back in his area and I washed up Riley and let him have extra time on the porch for all the stuff he went through.

I have pictures of when they fist interacted and a small video towards the end of their "playdate"s96.photobucket.com/albums/l169/AshPhillips/Bunnies/. Let me know if the video link doesn’t work, first time uploading a video and linking it.

That’s really really cute!  The link works fine. Mr. B looks a lot like Edson, in fact, we call him that sometimes!

Awe, how adorable! I must agree that humping is better than nipping.

How sweet! Thats great that there was grooming right away soooo cute!

It looks like Riley at 3 months is just about to hit his hormonal stage though, so there may be some changes in the relationship, especially since they are unneutered, so keep an eye out for fights breaking out.

I just scheduled Mr,B for a nueter the 9th this month!

I didn’t even notice the ying/yang like with their ears in the pict! lol.

Yeah, no nipping so that was good. We are going to wait to bring them back together after Mr.B has fully healed after surgery. Mr.B has been extra clingy with all of us since Riley’s came home and hopping around our feet. Is that a dominance thing with humans too? I read that that’s dominance thing with rabbits doing that to each other, is that right? Mr.B is such a good boy, If I aske him for kisses he’ll give me kisses and most of the time he’ll come when I call him. I’m hoping they get along in the end they are just such great bunnies seperatly I just hope they’ll stay that way once together.

That’s our back porch where we just have my daughter’s slide with foam mats set up. Our bunnies would blend in and get lost in my daughters play room with all the toys and stuffed animals.lol

Does your rabbit ever go onto the slide or into the playhouse? It looks like fun

Well not down the slide, atleast not yet they havn’t got up there. but they do dart underneath and through which they do in the video. It was Riley’s little hide away spot momentarily from Mr.B and Mr.B’s sneaky hide out to get Riley.lol.
