I have noticed in Coney’s litter box that his litter (aspen SUpreme) is turning white?  HIs poop is normal colored so I am wondering if it is his pee or a problem with the litter.  Connor is normal and he uses the same litter from the same bag.  At first I thought that it had molded so I immediatly cleaned it out and gave him fresh box and the next day he has some white pieces of Aspen Supreme.  Does anyone know why this is happening?  I will try and get some pics of it tomorrow so you can see what I mean.

Sounds like he is having too much calcium in his diet and his pee is turning the litter white. This happens to some of my rabbits if I feed them too much kale. What type of veggies have you been feeding him lately?

He eats spring salad mix, about a hand full a day, Oxbow pellets, Oxbow critter berries, one or two a day or every couple of days, and he has been munching on his shreding phone book a lot lately. He is actually eating the pages not just shredding it.

I think that a trip to the vet would be advisable as it sounds like bladder sludge and could be too much calcium in the diet, a problem with metabolizing clacium, not enough water intake or even kidney disease.

Here is some good info on Bladder Sludge

Here is a listing of calcium content of veggies

If your spring mix has spinach in it that is high in calcium.
