do they stop marking and pooping every where? Spinner marks me and poops EVERY WHERE!!! Will spaying or neutering help this? Is there a certain kind of bunny that poops less? Certain size? Thanks!

Yes almost always the marking behavior improves if the rabbit is spayed or neutered.  If you would like to read up on spaying and neutering your rabbit there are more reasons than just the marking.

          I sure bet it’s frustrating!

Thanks! Does the pooping count in the “not marking as much” part? Thanks Scarlet Rose!!

non-altered bunnies can be successfully litterbox trained before surgery happens, altho those habits improve once the surgery is done.  spaying and neutering is so hugely important with an indoor rabbit… for many reasons.  i know this isn’t your rabbit but i think if you have any say with the person she belongs to, you will definitely want to direct her towards these websites to learn more about rabbit care.  Spinner will live a longer, healthier life but it’s going to take dedication, money and time to achieve this.  house rabbits are not throwaway pets and the decision to have one should not be entered into lightly, esp. if you’re taking the time to learn about them.  i hope if Spinner’s owner won’t take responsibility for her, she will be given to someone who will.

Yeah! I actually might end up having Spinner at some point (if my parents let me). She is still learning about rabbits and she is a college student! I am doing this journaling thing that tells about what me and Spinner did that day and I have put a few helpful sites in it.

well, if that’s the case i’d talk to her and talk to your parents.  i’m guessing (?) you’re a minor so your parents will have to be willing and able to pay the vet and care costs for Spinner.  you may also want to refer your parents to this site or HRS so they can learn what they’d be getting into as well.

I am pretty young, but do make pretty good money. I have researched bunnies 3-4 years so I am pretty knowledgable. I will talk to my paretns about it!

You’re welcome bigsis! Pooping does count in the not marking as much part. Do keep us updated on Spinner!
