Well it looks like I may have found a homefor Mimzie & Wilbur together, turns out they were the most bonded. I had Mimzie with Rocky for a week in the same cage as they seemed fine but ignored eachother to the extreme other then when eating which I’m sure was a good starting…but once Wilbur’s hormones died out I wanted to just see, I put her with him and within a moment of me putting her next to him they clung/mushed together! Crasin was only just neutered this past week, he was doing good with Rocky before the hormones kicked in so I’m not sure if they will bond afterward. Rocky keeps wanting the other buns to groom him and cuddle him but none of them were interested.  i want him to have a mate that he is close with but I am starting to think he may be better off as an only bun for now. Craisin just want to pull Rocky’s fur out when he does the bowing for a groom, not sure if that is aggression or potential….I think Rocky would be happy to have his room back to himself though!Any thoughts on that?

Rocky’s insistence for grooming is also sometimes called presenting. It’s like he’s presenting himself to be groomed by the others and is considered a dominant thing generally. He’s trying to assert his dominance by getting the others to groom him. My guess is that Craisin is pulling tufts of fur as part of them figuring out who’s in charge. Bunny hierarchy can be complicated.

I can never figure how asking to be groomed is a dominance thing!! It looks so pathetic when Kokanee has her head all the way lowered for loving pets and Kahlua just ignores her! Too funny!
