  Last night Henri was being pretty mischevious so I didn’t really leave him and Acorn together for very long. There really was no fighting between them, but Henri decided to bite and mount Mercury so I figured seperating them for the rest of the night was probably best. We, Henri and I that is, are both really lucky that Mercury is a great cat! He hissed a little when Henri bit him but he didn’t even think about swatting at him or anything. Anyway, I was feeling a bit mischevious myself and decided it was time to dress Henri up.

  LOL – he doesn’t seem to mind one bit. It doesn’t matter what you do to humiliate him though – he always looks cute. I just love how his ears look so feathery too.

  very cute! i seriously hope for you that henri is a guy who doesn’t mind the odd cuddle… he’d be just to hard to resist. i just want to reach thru my laptop & squish him

  He didn’t care at all!! I think it is partially because he is so fluffy. I don’t think he even knew it was on him.

  He is getting better with the cuddles. I think for a while he was cautious of me because he thought every time I picked him up, he was going to get groomed and he didn’t like that. He has started to come to me for attention a lot more lately though.

  That has actually happened a few times before. Matt has one friend that is like in love with Henri now after meeting him. He tells me that he asks how he is doing every day at work. Most people, even the ones that know I have a bunny, do a double take when they see Henri. I still have a few people that I work with that truly think I just have a stuffed animal that I like posing and taking pictures of!

  Wow. I thought that was a stuffed bunny and thought it was kinda weird someone would post a picture of a stuffed bunny dressed up to boot!!!!! He’s real? Unbelievably cute.

  lol, yep he’s real. Believe it or not, he is not even very fluffy right now. He is just about done shedding and his coat is a whole lot thinner then it used to be.

  He does look HUGE doesn’t he? Especially when you see him next to Acorn.
  
  Look his foot is almost as big as Acorn! lol, it is really all fluff though. He only weighs a little over five pounds. When most people first meet him, they say he is the biggest bunny they have ever seen. . . obviously they have never met a flemmie!

  I am honestly not sure if they normally are expensive or not. I got Henri from someone off craigslist who was downsizing her bunny brigade. I think she kept them more for the wool then breeding purposes but I do have his pedigree and everything. He was only fifty and she gave me a HUGE bag of hay and stuff with him.

  Lago, just an idea, if you really want one you can have your local rabbit rescue or shelter keep an eye out for one for you and send pictures to see if you want to adopt them. I’ve seen a fair amount of them over the years in shelters because they are a high maintenance breed that needs lots of combing and close attention to the diet (which I am sure you are more than capable and happy to do). For those reasons they often get stuck at the shelter but usually end up being adopted by someone with a soft heart who knits.

  He is so darling with that face and those ears! I could see how someone would think he’s a stuffed animal and not real. Keep the pictures coming – he’s a cutey-pie!!

  Just showed my boy friend Henri’s pictures. He had to run and get his glasses, he was not sure what he was looking at. The word he used was interplanetaryoid bunny. I think thats a good thing LOL

  Well at least I now know they exist. When I took Dono to the vets, a couple of people brought in an angora that was rescued from death row at another shelter. The poor dear was a little matted, somewhat dirty and just a little scared. But I got to see him on a table when I left and as the person was fluffing out his fur, he was hopping in circles, tryin’ to catch who it was that was fluffin’ him.

  Long haired rabbits often make it onto "the list" at shelters because if they are not groomed daily, they get really matted and look terrible. They are impossible to adopt out in this condition. We get in lots of lionheads, fuzzy lops and an occasional angora at our rescue because the shelters do not have the capacity to deal with them.

  My younger sister calls him my alien bunny because she thinks he looks so funny. He does seem to elicit some interesting reponses from people.

  We had an angora a few months ago named Cassia. I made a video of her, she looks like a giant stuffed bear loping around. You can see the video on YouTube.

  Angora’s look hilarious when they start really running around. Some time I am going to have to get some video of Henri’s nightly bunny 500 and binky fest. He binkies all the time and it is quite a sight!
