I have been having a bit of a territory war at my house lately with Acorn and Henri. Even though they can’t see eachother, they know there is another bunny around and two teenage boys with lots of hormones and the smell of another bunny in the house makes for a mess! I can deal with it, which is good because I am the one that is home most of the time. Matt works at a country club so his hours are messed up and he works from like noon till eleven or so most days so I have any "accidents" cleaned up before Matt gets home normally.  Well last night Matt got home and was sitting on the couch and Henri decided to jump up to say hi. He then backed his little butt up on Matt and peed on him! I think Matt may have smelled like Acorn because he had just been down there giving him attention. Of course Matt did not find this amusing and I think he is at least a little mad at Henri now.

What can I do to help prevent Henri from going on Matt in the future? I really don’t want to restrict Henri’s roaming time but I fear that might be what I have to do for a little bit if I can’t get this under control.

LOL!!! Sorry, I shouldn’t laugh but boy have I been there!

Everything that Henri is going through is pretty normal. I think the only thing that can be done about Henri getting on Matt is Matt not letting Henri on him. He can pet him on the floor. This is something he is going to have to control. Just talk to Matt and tell him that right now, Henri is going through changes and if he doesn’t want anymore Bunny pee on him, well then, don’t let Henri get on him.

I’ve been peed on a number of times by Thumper (NEVER Peaches, she is such a good girl) so I feel his pain.

oopsy!  i had a bun that peed on me too.  i had to have a ‘pee towel’ handy if he jumped up & wanted snuggles on my lap.  he peed every single time he snuggled with me.  every single time.  and i’m too much of a sucker to NOT let him on my lap so my only choice was to use the towel.  lol.

Is Henri neutered? What about Acorn?

Neither of them are yet and I know that is part of the problem. I was going to have that done this month but with my foot I had to put it off so it will be getting done next month I hope *crosses fingers*

That will help with some of this problem eventually once they are neutered. I hope your foot heals soon too. Also Henri is still a young rabbit and I think besides the hormone – it’s being a teenager.
