Ok..  Maybe I’m a little crazy thinking of this stuff but just hear me out.  On weekends, I like to sleep in. As guilty as charged, sometimes I really dont want to get out of bed 7am to feed my buns.  But I do.

So I was thinking that maybe I can modify an ‘animal automatic feeder’ for my buns.  I have one for my fishes and it feeds EXACT amount at EXACT time.  I just refill it every 7 days.

I’m thinking I can get one of those and hang it on the cage.  Then get a pipe or make a downward tray so that the food will slide down to the bowl from the dispenser.  Of course, I would have to bunnyproof it.

What do you guys think? I might it might be beneficial to both (myself and buns) of us.

I have actually looked into that myself. They have those for cat and dogs,(see many kinds online) so I don’t know why it wouldn’t work for pellets. Also, if you are just sleeping in for a couple of hours, then just make sure to fill their hay racks with hay, so they have enough to munch on while you sleep in.

The ones for cats and dogs seems too big to put in the cage. Most of them have 4 compartments that can hold 2-3 cups of food each. I only need it to hold 1/4 cup. Also they are designed so that the food sits in the compartment. On the other hand, the ones for fish are designed to drop. And they’re much smaller.

well, you could either do some research for BUNNY feeders or you could get the smallest cat feeder or something and hook it on the outside of the cage and put a tube to go inside of the cage. But that is if the feeder does only a 1/4 of a cup.(I think I am telling you something you already know lol)

This is why I love my little girl. First of all, she never leaves a single poop outside of her cage. But more importantly, she doesn’t wake me up. She sleeps when I do. She’ll only rattle if it goes past 10am.

My buns have unlimited hay and can stand waiting a few hours for their veggies on the weekends!
