This morning I was lying on the floor with my bun out of his cage, he was in his favorite place, the litter box, and I was wiggling my nose, lowering my head, and blinking at him…he was looking really relaxed so I started to pet his head, face, ears and back. After that, he was making that chirping noise they make, which is really hard to describe unless you’ve heard it, but I figured that was good. I was happy, and rested my head on my arms and closed my eyes for a minute – and that’s when I heard it! FLOP! I looked up, and there he was all sprawled out like a dog lying in the sun. It was the cutest darn thing I had ever seen, like he didn’t have a care in the world! I was so happy, I almost cried, given that I’ve only had him for exactly one week, he’s only 2 months old, and hadn’t really had any human contact to speak of before I brought him home. I think it has a lot to do with his breed, being a Flemish Giant, they are supposed to be relaxed and laid back, and I would have to say he fits the profile so far.
