There are so many movies out that have received decent reviews lately from Rottentomatoes.com.    This past weekend we needed to see something light and I was suprised when my husband picked out "Enchanted"  A funny movie about fairytale cliche stuff.  I thought it was going to be totally cornball…and it was, but it was on purpose and I found it really funny.

As far as my all time favorite movie – I have so many but I can watch "Office Space" over and over and over.  I absolutely LOVE that movie, so it’s on the top five of my all time favorites.

So, any good OR bad movies you’ve recently seen?  And what is your all time favorite?

A movie I want to see is Across the Universe.
I saw a preview on Oprah and think it is wonderful.

Best movie I have ever seen is Rocky horror picture show.

I saw it at the movies where everyone gets up and dances along with the movie, it was really good.

I always loved Steve Martin’s L.A. Story. and 4 Weddings and a Funeral. For horror, I love the original Haunting of Hell House, The Others and 6th Sense.

I saw coming attractions for a movie called “The Water Horse” It looks wonderful. A kid finds and raises a baby Nessie.

I recently saw Beowulf and The Golden Compass. I LOVED Beowulf, TGC was decent…better if you’ve read the books, but has a great message.

My all-time favorites are: Moulin Rouge, Fight Club, Romeo and Juliet, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Transformers (the old), Donnie Darko, The City of Lost Children

wow i think the last movie i saw was music & lyrics with hugh grant & drew barrymore… it was a cute & funny movie.  my favs are in 2 catagories… ones that make me burst out laughing (the more the merrier) or are real thinkers and then there are ones that i like to watch over & over again (usually feel good or happy ending ones).

thinkers / laughing ones have been: something about mary, wedding crashers, this is spinal tap, the usual suspects and eternal sunshine of the spotless mind

watch over & over ones are: reality bites, elizabethtown, breakfast at tiffanys, shrek, elf, about a boy, white christmas, how the grinch stole christmas, what the bleep

so many movies… so little time!

Babybunsmum…..how long did it take you to get the song “pop goes my heart” out of your head after watching Music and Lyrics? Damn…now I am hearing it.

A movie that never fails to make me smile is “A Christmas Story”. I just rented About a Boy, that was a good movie and I did like Love Actually. Even the BF, liked it.

I am way too much of a ‘non-movie critic” to have a favorite movie, I pretty much like anything I see as long as it’s not terrible…And on that note I purposely rent terrible hoaky sci-fi movies for kicks…So my taste is not so reliable Heehehe

But recently I saw ‘mr. brooks’ and I thought that was a fantatstic movie, really neat. Lago, I own Donnie Darko and I think I’ve seen it like twenty times!! Very tricky movie, very cool! A movie I really want to see right now is ‘supabad’ i’ve heard it is just roaringly hilarious…and beowolf, in imax 3D!!

                      hahahahaha!  no kidding

i really liked music & lyrics too.  guess i’m not a very good critic either since my tastes are broad & i get a giggle out of most things.  i’m just not fond of gore is all.

Hmm, haven’t seen any in a long time in the theater. But my all time favorite right now is Miss Congeniality and 13 Going on 30.

ooo I loved Across the Universe, it was fantastic! If you like Beatles songs and musicals, you’ll love it. We just saw Enchanted last night, and it was over the top schmaltzy, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was really very sweet.

Some of my all time favorites: Better off Dead, Princess Bride, Edward Scissorhands, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, Zoolander, Amelie, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Young Frankenstein, Moulin Rouge and Nanny McPhee.

This is a good question. My friends and I were just talking about this the other day. One of my all-time favorites is “Anchor Man”….holy cow, funny, and, as someone else mentioned, “Office Space.” I also like “Just Like Heaven” for the sappy factor. I tend to watch movies more for the people who are in them than the movies themselves. I just rented “Evan Almighty” the other day and got some laughs out of it. I think Steve Carrel is hilarious. The boyfriend, of course, likes all the shoot ’em up flicks, anything military or war, and anything mob related. I can deal with some of them, but they’re not my favorites. But, of course, he doesn’t like the “chick flick” genre, so it’s hard to get him to sit still and snuggle on the couch with me unless we’re watching what he wants to watch. Good thing I have my fluffly Dust Bunny to snuggle with now! He loves to watch TV, whatever I’m watching!
