OK, after our little vet visit last week for Edward’s stasis issue (all better now), Josephine wont stop humping! She did it before when we were bonding them and they both very occasionally mount the other (our bunnies sound like sex addicts!), but now she just wont stop! I’m getting quite frustrated with her…. every time he seems to settle down for a rest she’s right there honking away and trying to mount. He’s tolerating it so far but we have to go away next week and leave them… I’m worried they’ll fight! After we fired our sitter (totally ignored all my instructions!) I’m tring to sort out alternative arrangements. Unfortunatly we really don’t know many people here so I’m looking at bunny boarding (the boyfriend is not so keen on this idea for his little darlings)…. it’s a rescue in San Pedro CA, I seem to remember moobunny (I think) recomending this one. Any one else have any info? I’m hoping that they might be able to sort them out! In the mean time apart from giving her lots of fuss and attention what else can I do to stop the humping!!!!!!!!!

ahhh sorry I won’t be able to help with the boarding question but…the above sentence made me laugh. My bf’s mom
has a Pomeranian that isn’t fixed and she mounts this stuffed piggy thats bigger than her all the time. We’ll just be
sitting there and all the sudden we just see this big hairball bounce up and down. My boyfriend always gets a good
laugh from seeing her do that. Hormones.. I tell ya. His mom asked her vet why she does that, and the vet mentioned
hormones I am sure, but he added that by mounting the pig it makes her tummy feel good….mmm hmm….

did both bunnies go to vet? it might be that Edward came home smelling funny and Josephine is trying to reassert her dominance.
Remind me again, Josephine is spayed right? If it’s really bothering you, you can lift her off of him after 15 or 20 seconds. But my guess is, if she’s spayed it will calm down after a lil while, once she feels secure in her dominant position. It doesn’t sound like he’s challenging her dominance or really upset or angry about it, which is a relief.

rabbit rescues a great idea for bunny sitting, since your know that they’ll be well taken care of by people who love and know bunnies. In case there are any health problems they’ll know the signs and make sure your bunny gets proper care. Have you called and talked with them? It likely will help answer your concerns.
