My buns love to renovate and sleep in cardboard boxes.  Stormy’s all time fave boxes was when I went to build-a-bear and got cardboard bear condos! He loved condos but they don’t sell them sepeprately.

Now he has a cardboard pop-it-up cottage and he likes it but needs a new one and the company no longer ships to Canada I have searched everywhere on the net for more but can’t find any.

Bindi likes plain brown cardboard boxes but  doesn’t eat the cardboard, just chews and spits it out. But Stormy tends to eat some of it so I am reluctant to give him one. Are they safe for bunnies?

Anyone know where I can get a cardboard bunny playhouse.  I checked out the Magik Bunny House from 24Carrot lane but it would cost me like $30.00 for one and that;s a bit much!

He needs Santa to bring him a house!!!

I am going to take pics of my ‘bunny condo’ tonight..I am super proud of it, it’s a duplex three story with decorations…Cardboard isn’t ideal food but I do believe it is safe..My bunnies eat it all the time!

Hello! I’m pretty sure your typical plain cardboard box will be the same material as the cardboard bunny condos. Avoid boxes with a lot of writing on them, and take of the labels, but once your down to the plain cardboard, it is probably the same as getting a cardboard condo. I’ve always wanted to get one of those refridgerator boxes for my bunnies to play in Cardboard is not dangerous in little bits here and there, but a lot of ingested cardboard can lead to stasis from an impaction, so if you bunny is swallowing it like crazy it might not be such a good idea for him. I do have two bunnies that are crazy chewers, and while they eat some of the cardboard, they are eating much more of hay and veggies and pellets, so they have been OK.

speaking of cardboard [how many times do you say that in a day… ?  lol…]

Mike works in shipping and he brought home some of their boxes so i could gather old toys to give to charity.  i, of course, take a box and open it up for Meadow… it is TRIPLE THICK CARDBOARD… i can’t even bend it at all!  it’s so cool b/c she’s been gnawing at it constantly and it is still basically all in one piece…

I *think* The Busy Bunny ships to Canada but just by looking at the products in U.S. $, it would be even more expensive than the $30 you spoke of.  But they do have some cool play castles.

I am not finding anything other than the Vancouver rabbit society either that Sarita gave the link to.

It’s hard to see where they ship to without "checking out." how frustrating!

my lilly inhales cardboard like it is candy.. she will prefer cardboard over carrots, lettuce, pellets, you name it. she is fine though.. i am just waiting for the day it gets all stopped up in her.. but she is 1yr3mos old, and so far, perfectly healthy on the cardboard diet..
