  ok… so i’ve been documenting my girl’s recovery progress from having her mass surgically removed. i bought a digital camera this past summer & love playing around with it. i’ve been laying on the floor in her room to try to capture her scar on camera & to observe her behaviour as she recovers. once i had the camera sitting upright on the floor waiting for a good shot and she sniffed out the strap and yoinked the camera under her dresser with her! silly girl. so here is a cute video i posted on youtube. she came over to me & was kissing my hand and the camera. you can hear her nibbling… and my exclamation when it got a little too feisty! later that night – off camera (hee hee) she wandered over & kissed my nose

  Hahaha, I love the very distinct “bum” she gives you at the end – probably punishment for making her famous while her fur is not all there She doesn’t want to look bad for the camera!! She is very cute, she seems like a very mellow bun, is she always like that, or is she still a bit groggy from the surgery?

  You’re right, she is such a cutie! Say, have you heard back from the vet about the mass yet? I was wondering, how much did the mass weigh? It looks like she is having a little trouble adjusting to not having it there and trying to balance herself. Poor little sweetheart, but one very lucky bunny owner and the bum at the end was cute.

  yup she’s a pretty mellow bun. mostly likes to shred & rip things up but she’s not one to run around a lot. i’m certain her mass was affecting her demeanor though… she’s already cuddlier than before her surgery (and she’s kissed me more in the last 24hrs than the whole 7 yrs before that combined!) so i’m curious if other behaviour changes are yet to come. today was her last day of the metacam. can that be keeping her a bit groggy?
  
  i do get the ‘bum’ a fair bit. i think its to keep me in my place and respect her ‘Queendom’. she also kicks her back thumpers in disgust when i put her back down from a mandatory ‘hold & cuddle’. little stinker! i’m glad she’s feisty & a bit crochety by nature… i think it’s why she’s 7yrs old and pulling nicely through the surgery!

  we have to go in for a check up this wednesday and the vet said they’d have the histopathy results by then. i’d imagine they’ll have the weight of the mass then too. the part of the mass that was protruding was about the size of a cherry tomatoe. i did notice her movements are different. i was thinking it could be from having less pain there now or from not needing to restrict her movement as much as before? i didn’t think of the weight possibly being a factor. poor girl!

  my goodness she’s cute! i hope the results from the histopathy will be ok. it sounds likely that the weight and way it was low in her belly was effecting her mobility.
