  LoL..The bunnies are scared of me,they Won’t come near me!!,But they love my dog,I have no idea why.mind you my dog is a mean killer of all cretures but he loves the buns!…

  The people that I know of who have buns and a dog say that the dog seems to regard the buns as hoppy little treat dispensers! (eeeew)

  Question for you…Did you have your dog or rabbits first? (or at the same time?)
  
  The reason I ask is I have two rabbits (I have a dog but she is a family dog and lives with my parents) and when I have a house (so in about three years) I am going to get dogs and would love for them to be able to play together…

  Introducing a rabbit and a dog should be done very carefully because not all dogs will react as nicely as Addicted’s dog did. You also have to be very careful because rabbits naturally are very afraid of predator animals and will typically be very scared of a dog. When you first introduce them, make sure the rabbits are in a cage, and have a tunnel or something to escape to if they feel threatened, so that they do not panic. You’ll have to supervise all of their meetings – and if your rabbit seems panicked at the presence of the dog, you probably don’t want to subject your rabbit to that over and over again because it is not healthy. If your rabbit and dog seem to get along very well, it is still important to NOT leave them alone together. Sometimes dogs play can be rough, and they do not understand how delicate a rabbit is, so it can end very badly if you are not there to supervise.

  I Adopted my dog about a year ago from Lebanon,The bunnys came about three weeks ago.My dog was abused for the first three years of his life which in turn made him very agressive.He has gotten so much better in his time with me but i still have to be carefull bringing him around new people,he’s a big lap dog with family and friends though.Why he took to these bunnys from the second he saw them I’ll never be able to figure out,He has a very high prey drive,it’s a mystery to me i would have bet my life he would have used them for a chew toy.
  
  And for the bunnys the lady that sold them to me has a dog so I’m sure That’s why they could care less about a dog around,They actually love my dog.
  
  It’s amazing how well they have bonded,The first thing my dog does when we get home is go to the bun cage and greet them,then they say hi to him.I do leave them un supervised while i do laundry,shower or go to the store,they were made for each other.

  What type of bunnies are these? My big guy Wabbit looks just like them – we got him from the humane society and don’t really know a whole lot about his background.
  
  Are they really really huge? Mine is! So cute!

  wabbitlove – yours looks like he may be a bit flemish giant! They are a huge breed and there is a grey variety, however they do not usually have lop ears.
