Hi, I have a Mini Lop, Thumper, and we have a lot of fun together.  One thing that he does is fetch, I taught my bunny how to fetch, and its great.   I was wondering what you guys do with your bunnies, or just pets in general, for fun and entertainment.

That’s so cool that your bunny can fetch! I cant even get my dog to do that.

Wow, fetch – now that’s impressive!  How did you do that?  I know with clicker training it can be done, but did you have another method.

My bunnies know the word "Litterbox", and Rucy knows "up", but up as in jump up to her second level near the window.   It was pretty easy because I wanted to be able to give her treats without Jack hogging everything, so I would throw the treat up there and motion my hand like I was throwing stuff up there while I was saying the word up, and over a few days of this she got it.  She’s quick!

That “up” trick is great, I cant even get Thumper to jump on a stool. The way i taught fetch was to throw one of Thumpers favorite toys, and for some reason, he would bring it back to me, after saying fetch many times, he will always run to get the item, and give it back in my hand. And yesterday I realized that every time I click behind his back, he does a back flip, this will hopefully be his next trick.

Wow – what a talented bunny! I’m still working on very basic tricks such as “don’t eat the carpet” “don’t bite my knee when I’m paying to much attention to your bonded mate and not you” and “don’t escape from the ex-pen and eat cords when I am nnot home”

I’ll keep you updated on how those tricks go

One trick that just one of our bunnies does though is walk on his hind legs. We hold a treat up and he periscopes for it, then we pull it just about a half inch forward so he has to tiptoe a couple steps to get it. Its pretty cute! Kramer used to do it, however, he has a bonded mate Juli who would usually knock him over to get the treat so he stopped

Hmm, my two know "in" when it is night-night time and the clank of the cookie jar and sound of the plastic bag that has the papaya in it.  They’re very treat-oriented.
