Comet had moved his ‘hide-a-box’ away from the side of his cage so I pushed it back into place.  He immediately jumped inside and pushed it right back to where it was and gave me a loud thump!  Guess he wants to be his own interior decorator.  LOL  Now he seems to have an attitude with me;  I tried to pet him and he turned away from me.  Little bugger!  LOL

Hahaha – I think its so funny when buns “reprimand” us humans for our actions I usually get a grunt and a lunge EVERY single night when I take Henri’s box out of his cage to refill with fresh hay – I think he wants to fill it up himself and pick out all the good pieces of hay!

My Henri thumped at me the other day. It actually scared me because it was so loud. He was under our futon and I didn’t realize it and I moved it a little bit and I guess I scared him because he started thumping VERY loudly at me.

I had a cricket invador in my house yesterday, and was using the Swiffer to “guide” him back out the door. I was too afraid to actually scoop him up though, so I was thumping on the floor behind him. This then set off ALL 5 of my bunnies in the living room area to start thumping as well. I bet the downstairs neighbors aren’t so happy about that one…

These stories all sound so adorable!  I have not seen a thump yet that I can recall. I do hand deliver the hay to the food area though, rather than removing the little manger to refill, so maybe that’s part of my luck!

                      Dahlia:

"Dahlia, you silly girl, mommy got you a pretty colorful house for you to play in, why is it always on the floor?" *Reaches in to put it back and is greeted by an angry grunt.* Dahlia looks at me, looks at the house and takes it in her teeth, raises it, and throws it down. "Dahlia, this is NOT a toy you silly girl!" *Grabs the house and puts it over her* Dahlia grunts, runs out of the house, pushes it, then grabs it and flings it at me.*THUMP!* "FINE! Have it your way then!" She does a bunny flop and stretches out exaggeratingly.

                      Wiggles:

"Wiiiiiiiiiiiiggles where are you going?! You know you can’t go in mommy’s room." *Glares and THUMP!* "Wiiiiiiiggles are you thumping at me?!" *THUMP!* "Wiggles stop that!" *THUMP!* "Wiggles what did mommy say?!" *THUMP!* "Ooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuut!" *THUMP!*

" No Wiggles." *THUMP!* "Oh here we go again… No you had enough." *THUMP* "Wiggles!" *THUMP, THUMP" *Thumps back at the bunny* Wiggles binkies… *Shakes head*

                      Queen Velveteen (foster):

Bunny presents head for grooming, I the slave, oblige. I am momentarily distracted by the TV when *THUMP!!!* I jump out of my skin and after a few seconds I realize it was just the bunny making a demand. "Excuse me???" I resume grooming a few  minutes later. I shift because un am uncomfortable. She follows, presents her head and *THUMP!!!* "No way dear." Bunny hops away angrily, flinging her feet at me, thumps loudly, the flops, with both ears back.

                      "AAACHOO" *THUMP!* "Sorry…"

Everytime I let my bunny out of her cage, she runs over to her ‘out of cage warren’ – behind a tabletop propped against the wall – and gives a loud “THUMP!” before entering it. EVERYTIME! In fact, when she doesn’t thump immediately, I think that there might be something wrong.

I figure it is her saying “Aha! I am free of you and you can’t get me now!” She seems to enjoy the chase game.

My parents went out of town for their anniversary and when they got back, my mom was excited to see my bun again and he thumped at her! She thinks he was mad at her for leaving for a week!

I can laugh to myself about it because when I was gone for a week, my bunny was so happy to see me when I came back!
