Hello again. I did not have any luck with the paper bag filled with hay, Comet barely touched it. All he really goes crazy for is his pellets. Going to the pet store tonite to look for a different kind of hay that I’ll have better luck with. Maybe some kind of hay blend will do the trick. Picking up more veggies at the grocery store to try out too.
I’ve had Comet for 6 days now (woo hoo!!!) and I have yet to see him binky. He’s very comfortable in his new home and gets out to play (supervised) every evening (will be out more on weekends) but all he does is hop around and dig sometimes. How long before you saw your rabbit binky? What if he never binkies? Does that mean he’s not really that happy? He’s kind of just a big lounger right now.
My dog Lexi (german shepherd) is very interested in him. She sits by the gate in front of the bunny room and just watches Comet all the time. I let her in the room when I am in there but not when Comet is out of his cage. I want to introduce them without the cage separating them but I need my dog to calm down about him first. They’ve touched noses through the cage several times. Comet doesn’ t seem scared of the dog at all. He seems to like watching her too. Maybe one day they’ll even be friends.
He is soooo good about using his litter. He has not had one single pee accident and only a few poops here and there end up on the floor instead of his litter. I think I lucked out in that department.
